For the collector cabinet additions, I added a few Tropicana chips, $1, $5, and $25, along with two $25 Flamingo Margaritaville Casino chips. I'm still looking for the ever elusive $100 Flamingo Margaritaville Casino chip.

With the closure of the Tropicana, this leaves Circus Circus and Flamingo for major mob ties on the strip, though all the casinos associated with the Chicago skim are now officially gone. The only one remaining off the strip is Fremont in Downtown Vegas.

Although ngl... I was a Cubbies fan, I moved to Southport when they were absolute dogshit and I loved going to games for $10 and sitting anywhere. I'd cut out of work and get a scalped ticket, no one checked tickets down to the bottom sections. Can't do that anymore, plus Wrigley is not as nice anymore. Ever since they stopped selling Old Style ...

Fully table last night. Some of the biggest action I’ve seen at the table, including a double board bomb pot $5 PLO.

Food was great, drinks were on point, and one of our regulars got engaged that night to one of my work partners, so we FaceTimed him and toasted him after it went down (lot of planning went into it, including her family coming in from out of town without her knowing). We all told him that we will let him slide for missing poker because of the getting engaged excuse.

The background of that bottle is that his family owns a major liquor store that does a ton of barrel picks. That is one of them. We figured it was very fitting to toast with it.

I’ve been slacking on the posts in here. Haven’t had a home game in over a month because of crazy work schedules, though a funny story.

I was adding a couple chips to my display frame last week, and accidentally dropped the door too fast, and every single chip proceeded to fall to the floor…

I added a few more Tropicana newest edition chips, and a Terry Fator Mirage chip. I was able to pay my respects to The Mirage last month when I was in town, my all time favorite resort and casino in Las Vegas. It’s shame to see it close on 7/17.

Stayed there on a family vacation when I was 12, and got to see Sigfried and Roy. Stayed there many times throughout the years, including taking my then 70some year old grandmother on an epic roadtrip to Vegas, then to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Yellowstone, and Mount Rushmore.

Like the rest of Las Vegas, nostalgia does not stop the wrecking ball.

Last minute game this Saturday. 5-6 guys. Circus games. Should be a solid spread and drinks will be flowing.

Planning a big cash game in September or October and a big tournament in December. I tend to slow down the hosting in the summer. Busy schedules seem to limit the participants.

Huge final hand with scrotum. Pot had over $2k in it. interesting name of a card game since it really kicked me in the balls on the final hand.
