The Ironbound Lounge Cash Set (CPC) (14 Viewers)

Yeah...I was thinking that limit set was looking a little anemic. Really glad you did something about that! :wtf:

Nice $100 chip! Definitly in my Top 5 custom sets!!!

Added on a new value chip to the limit set as well as 8 more workhorse racks to have this now for the limit set

Also added a $100 chip to the cash set

This is a great set. I've had a bug lately to put together a limit set myself, even though right now I don't have any regular exposure to limit or players that have expressed interest in limit. I'm thinking this will be a "build it and they will come" situation.

Like you have done, I want to do non-denominated, but probably just for the workhorse chips. What size game do you normally play, and what denominations typically do you use for the orange and blue chips?

I would probably start out playing $2/4 and have the workhorse chips be $1. But I want the flexibility to move up. I still think I would prefer to have denominations on my value chips. I think $20 makes sense for the size game I would start at. Then I could possibly add some $100s if the game really grows down the road.

It looks like you started with 800 WH chips, then added on to arrive at 1600. I'm leaning towards starting with 1200 and one rack of $20s.

I strongly encourage you to budget for at least 16 racks of a workhorse chip and one rack of value chips. I went the NCV route for both chips because the need depending on where I'm putting these into play is a lot different.

At my place, we play as small as $25 buying you a rack of chips and essentially playing 0.50/1 limit. At JIJ, I usually will bring this set to use at the "circus lite" table, where $50 buys you a rack and we play 1/2 limit.

At other meetups, the games play bigger, up to 5/10 limit usually, and some players may opt to even buy in for two racks.

Keeping everything NCV keeps things fluid and flexible, and the value chips can be used to be 20x the worth of the workhorse chips, or one value chip per barrel of workhorse chips to keep it simple.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of playing smaller than $2/4 or maybe $1/2. But that may be what I need to do to get some players interested in playing limit omaha, hold'em or stud, and related circus games. I like the idea of buying in for $25 and having the chips represent 25 cents. In that case, maybe I should do a non-denominated value chip, or maybe just a rack of $5s along with the $20s.
