Modelo!...a very underrated Mexican beer. It goes great with a side of lime and Anejo. Back in the 80s when I used to be a frequent customer at JJs Cantina and the Pacific in Puerto Penasco, everyone else (the college crowd) would guzzle Corona as if it were the only thing available. Tecate, Carta Blanca, & Bohemia were all far superior IMO. Good times.

Looks like you're in a good spot in the last pic. (y)

That, and Dos Equis Amber are two of my wife's favorite beers.

So one of the guys in the Thursday Night League joined 3 seasons ago. About a year ago, he bought a new place in central Denver (just east of downtown). Last night was the first night he hosted; brand new table, cards, and chips he bought from me.
Anyways, we're having a good time, celebrating his "Grand Opening", and we're about 2 hours into our tourney. All of a sudden we hear a loud smash outside, and everyone is like "WTF"! One member quickly blurts "Someone just ran into a car!"
We're playing in the living room of this ranch-style home, so we are all within 10 ft of the front door. We all run out to find a mid-size sedan trying speeding off, with half of it's front bumper dragging on the ground.
Two members give chase, and one thinks he got the plate. Of course all of our vehicles are parked on the street, so we start inspecting them. One of our member's F-150 is pushed up on the sidewalk about 2 ft, and the front bumper, near the driver's side tire is all smashed up. We grab a flashlight to get a better look, and besides the body damage, the axl is bent, car undrivable. Our friend calls his insurance company, and the home owner calls the police.
The police come, and take a report. He lets us know, that they believe this is the 2nd "hit and run", by the same car tonight. About 10 blocks south of us, they hit another car, and the home owner also saw it, and jumped in their other car and followed them. The police run the plate, and the car matches the description in both cases.
Finally, the cop puts his spotlight on the damaged truck. It was on a dark corner of the street, and there was a piece of plastic jammed in the wheel well. When it was dark, we just all assumed, it was part of the lining from the wheel well. With good light, we could see that it was actually a piece of the front bumper, from the car that hit him. We pull it out, and see a part number & "Honda", inscribed on the inside. Anyways, we the damage done to their car, and all the info the police have on the vehicle, hopefully it shouldn't take long to get resolved. What a crazy night!

How do you find the Scrolls for slipperiness?

They're okay. Definitely more slick than Nevada Jacks ceramics. I actually owned the Romans (which is what we played with last night), many years ago. I sold them to a friend (another member of the Thursday League), before I moved to Vegas. He sat on them for several years, used them a few times, and then sold them to the current owner this year. I always loved the design, and it was nice to see them again, last night. But for the last 6-7 years, I've been all clay! Except for my one set of RT Plastics, that I keep for a travel set.

Unfortunately, that was as big as my stack would be last night. Had a bad case of the "2nd best syndrome", and got pocket kings cracked by A5o:unsure:. I was in the BB with K9, and flopped two pair. Got called by KJ.
Runner, Runner straight. My night was over in 7th place:eek:

Looks like a good scene Andy! What time did the tourney end? Anybody stick around for cash?

Tourney got done around 120ish. No post-tourney cash last night, which is strange. Probably cause most of my serious cash players busted early in the tourney, and didn't want to wait

So this casino frowns on picture taking? When I was in Vegas last month taking pictures in Flamingo was no problem, especially after a bad beat hand at my table...actually dealer suggested and encouraged it. And I actually saw tourist with SLR camera snapping pics all over casino floor and he had no issues with staff.
Then at Venetian I was railing brother-in-law in a tournament. Three players were all-in, so there was no more betting action. I went to snap a cell phone pic but director quickly came over and said no pictures!
Just curious why rules/policies are so different.....
