The Official Bomb Pot Thread (1 Viewer)

It’s common in high stakes games to do a max amount you can lose. You just have to remember to keep the chips in front of each player and don’t scoop them to the middle. In your limit maybe it’s $3.

In addition, since your players are getting familiar with them, I would avoid the double boards split pots. Get familiar first w seeing a flop w a forced ante.
I like the idea of doing a max loss amount a lot. That will be easy for everyone to follow, but still allow the bomb pot to be bigger and more exciting than a normal pot. Thanks for the suggestion!

Players are no more likely to get felted playing in a bomb pot than any other time (unless the 3-5BB requirement puts them all-in, which means they're already ridiculously short).
If you elect to use a bomb pot chip for every player usable on the button, then when a bomb pot is called the dealer button should stay on the player for one more hand. 2 reasons: resumes the SB/BB as normal, and can't force 2 bomb pots in a row.

Hi all. Could you please help settle a dispute that happened last night in our small stakes cash game.

Player 1=£160
Player 2=£80
Player 3=£130

Pot Size is £20 before the boards are dealt.

All the money goes in on the flop.

Who walks away with what and why? Many thanks :)

PLO you have to play 2 of your hole cards.

Board 1
P1 AA664
P2 66633*
P3 23456

Board 2
P1 AAKQT
P2 AAKQ7
P3 8855A*

P1 loses 130 of which 50 goes directly to P3 and P2 & P3 chop the remaining 80 and the 20 that was already in the pot.

I just woke up so none of this could be correct lol

So ...

Player 1=£160
Player 2=£80
Player 3=£130

Pot Size is £20 before the boards are dealt.

The main pot has 20 + 80 from 3 players (player 2's effective stack) = 260

side pot for 50 x 2 (P1 and P3) = 100

Player 2 wins the first board 6's full of 3's
Player 1 wins the second board set of A's

Edit:
Player 1 & Player 3 are going to chop the side pot

Player 2 is going to split the main pot with Player 1
Player 2 + 130
Player 1 + 130

Player 3 gets laughed for playing such rags

Thanks for the reply :)

Just confirming that the side pot between player 1 & 3 is 100 and as they both win 1 board they chop this yes?

Also to the credit of player 3 the hand as played goes straight to the flop so they flopped the straight on one of the boards and got it in good :)

...and why didn't just say this at 10:24 before I misread peoples hands lol

.25 / .5? player 3 had to call 7 (14 BBs) to see the flop?

or is it .25/.25 and Player 3 had to call 28 BBs to see the flop?

but yeah both flops favored it, I see bad hands beat me all the time! ;)

We do a bomb pot every hour, dealers choice. Each player puts in x amount. The pot was approx £20 and instead of playing a hand like normal PLO we go straight to the flop so lots of big hands being made.

Sorry should have made it clear.

The reason for the post was player 1 was drinking and was adamant that they get all of player's 3 money as they won a board and player 2 won the other
