Returning home after a trip to the observatory for a work shift is nice, but made better when a few goodies from trips down the eBay rabbit-hole to fill gaps in the singles collection are waiting for me never hurts.

The $100 and hot-stamp quarter here are upgrades to ones I already had, but the $500 and $1000 fill in the final gaps to finish the last edition chips out of Binion's Horseshoe in my collection.

Iconic for their place as the home of the "big game" in Vegas before it migrated to the strip and the original home of the WSOP. The message from the seller was these were from a former employee and had been in their own collection for some time. For me, it's just nice to finally "finish" this part of my collection.

Sample Set landed from our resident creative genius @BonScot ! Thank you, Sir!
It was fun working on the inlays for these, but the colours and spots are the real winners! The £1 and £20 are beauties! :cool

It's also great that when I finally attend one of your games, I'll be starting £126.25 better off   :D

why are all the spots different colours and not the same amount on each chip. Like for $2 a chip you would expect they be the same. wouldn't have this problem with ceramics..... :cool :wtf:  :ROFLMAO:

nice pickup btw.

I should have drilled a hole in each of them

Nice job on the Binion THC $500!! I want one, just not right now. I figured about $100 for it and that wasn't too awful far off.

This chip is forty years old. FORTY. (ish, probably a bit more) Leaded, textured, house-mold-with-a-fat-THC-like-rim, and beautiful. There were two $5 chips at the Golden Nugget in AC when it operated from 1980-1986, this was one of them. The other one doesn't say Atlantic City on it either.

Thanks for reshipping @w00zie!
The .25/.25 set is not yet recognizable as such but I'm inching closer to playability.
20230514 - Old School Flamingo Set incomplete-1.jpg

Solid canary yellow fracs: 0/200
Spotted Flamingo $1: 125/200
Flamingo $5: 80/80
Aztar MO $25 as overlables: 20/20

Edit:
Any help in tracking down chips on my list would be highly appreciated.

Especially those two racks of canary solids as hot stamps in good condition seem particularly hard to find.
