The Official Mail Showcase Thread (poker related) (78 Viewers)

Samples came in the mail. This feels like the entrance to a trippy, expensive rabbit hole.

So about that rabbit hole...

From left to right, top to bottom:

- Card molds from Broken Arrow
- China clays and card molds from Apache
- BR Pro Poker ceramics
- CPC clays
- A few lucky Linq chips from my last winning craps session

I thought these were cool, but what the hell was I planning on doing with them?
Somebody, get me off eBay.

...I second that!!! Can't even remember pulling the trigger on these after poker last week:

I'm really digging my new purple speedcloth but it's really confusing my phone's ability to get the color correct. This is what they really look like:

Btw I'll take 80 more if anyone has some lol

CPC FTW, if budget is a secondary concern! Rest are great stepping stones, but I’d go right into CPC or used Paulsons if you can reach.

Welcome to the hobby! It will consume you if you don’t keep a check on your wallet

It's been a while since I've taken the camera out for a mail day, but these chips deserve it. I know they're not for everyone, but I've always thought that three color quarter pies done right look good as a chip and downright amazing in stacks. I think they're also one of the easiest spot patterns to count in stacks, so that's a bonus. @JP1984 did it right with his Wasp's Nest set, pictured below along with some of the chips that likely served as inspiration. In person, the $5 is almost a dead ringer for the Riverboat $1k. I guess there's no need to improve upon a chip that's already so great, while the other denominations are improvements across the board. Color matching the denomination to the darkest color in the quarter pies was a particularly nice touch. Thank you for the sample set @JP1984!

Went fishing on eBay. Accidentally won these at a price I liked. But seriously, some of these yellows have to be the absolute most tire-y tires to ever exist.

Wait… is that $5 black chip the same as casino Mexico 20 and other fantasy chips? Looks like it. Guess this was where they came from…

The pink seem salvagable and might end up as some value chip in my Sahara dunes set.

“Lucky Lady” cardroom San Diego I think.

Yellow 25c blue 50c

pink spotted 1s
black spotted 5s
And green spotted 20s

Cali before Cali was Cali?

Anyone else have these at all?

Of the lot, the CPC definitely have my favorite red and black. Just so saturated. They seem to shuffle better and sound better too.

Points in favor of cards mold are price, ease of cleaning, and more uniformity.

Following on from the amazing Glasgow meet up (me and @Toby going for a pint on Thursday) I’m now in possession of some of Toby’s design work, namely his Big Top Poker. I also learned the story behind this NAGB and I’m willing to sell the secrets for the right price  :ROFLMAO:

I feel like a pint of Guinness might be the right price  :ROFLMAO:

I almost bid on these, but they just looked too rough for me.
