A Russian Nixie tube clock from the movie Tomorrowland
Not from Tomorrowland specifically*, but absolutely a Nixie Tube clock with Russian Nixie tubes.

Nixie's were the only way to get a digital display for a long time. The person who made these years ago had kits and assembled clocks available. I knew my fine soldering skills weren't up to the task, so I went the lazy way and bought the finished clock. He stopped making clocks several years ago, but a web search and even eBay finds these somewhat easily. I got the semi-custom acrylic cover as I wanted the exposed circuitry, but wanted to protect the clock at the same time.

There is an option on this one to turn the tubes on and off at a pre-set time. I currently have set to midnight as if I'm at the office after that time, I really should go home!

* Really what piqued my interest in one of these is the sci-fi time-travel anime series Steins;Gate. It's a fun series and fun to try to figure out how you would undo the things the protagonist has done in the series to get things to the "good ending" of the story.) An indicator that uses Nixie Tubes plays a part in the story starting about halfway through.

Do you know if these are leaded?
I can’t be totally sure but I remember reading it somewhere that Paulson Fantasy chips like Paulson classic used brass as weight and not lead

Now that I recall more, maybe it CPC / ASM and not Paulson Fantasy chips.

I sure there be other who will be more knowledgeable regarding if they are leaded

I don’t know where that thread was where people were making fun of scanners, but here’s the eBay scan, how the chips arrived, and after a quick clean:

Edit - ironic that I’m making fun of scanners, when it’s clear that the iPhone camera just did a crappy job of photographing these. In real life, they kinda glow.
