I do not think I'm exaggerating if I refer to this as a semi-grail set.

This was advertised on eBay as a used Paulson top hat and cane set, gold foil hot stamped with "LOM" on one side and 25c, 50c, $1.00, $5.00, and $10.00 on the other side. But I was intrigued by the possibility that they weren't Paulsons.

Received them yesterday. All LCV. Crisp, shiny hats. Vintage style script font for initials and same for denom. I am now looking at the first playable cash set of C&J chips that I have ever seen.

Overall chips in excellent condition. Occasional flea bites. Most wear on the $1.00 compared to the rest. Non-standard colour scheme.

Not a bad breakdown, either, even wonky 50c and $10.00. 951 chips, total bank $2442, good for most 0.25/0.50 or 0.50/1 that I would play.

I am happy as a collector. After ultrasonic clean and oiling they should be fantastic.

Cool set! FWIW, I can only remember seeing one other C&J playable set (though I certainly haven't been looking.) There was a red, white and blue playable set. I always remember that one because the seller said that set was rumored to have belonged to JFK.

Do you recall if there were actual JFK initials on them?

No there weren’t. I’m 90% sure they were hot stamped with cash denominations on both sides. I don’t think anybody gave any real consideration to the JFK rumor.
That sale happened on the blue wall - I don’t even know if that site is still searchable.

Got my delivery today!

I'm learning that the BR PRO chips just don't photograph well. The 8-bit chips look amazing in person. The lounge set is great too, aside from the $100.

Got my sunburst blues as well, need some cleaning and oiling but they'll come out nice. Plan on using these as a nickel frac and also as change chips for blackjack.

Next delivery comes Friday but that's not coming in the mail. My second son is scheduled for c section unless he should choose to come sooner. Life with a toddler has been hectic let's see what a newborn does to the mix LMAO!

Been a fun past week, receiving-wise!

Added to my Gambler's Pleasure set with these chips thanks to @jz12345
Always looking for more...;)
