Didn’t realize these chips would be even more amazing in person! Thanks again @NERGCINC !

This may sound like a KMCo infomercial, and for that, I’m profoundly sorry, but on rare occasions even @Josh Kifer deserves some praise.

Anyone who purchased some of the Harrah’s T5s is aware that about 1/3rd of them have stamps that either are substantially or completely worn off. After sorting I ended up with 3 such racks. If only there was a hero who could save these otherwise useless T5s from milling.

I guess I should have known this already considering how many chips I’ve had @Josh Kifer re-stamp, but apparently a little sandpaper can do wonders :)

Left Chip: Original Stamp
Middle Chip: Kifer Stamp Sandpapered
Right Chip: Kifer Stamp no Sandpaper

Just sand it a little more so it gets to the left chip ;)

Wait, why did you have to stamp this chip?

Right. Are you stamping the same stamp on top of mint stamps?

But yes the difference between sanded and not is day and night.

Roughly 35% of the heavy/original T5s (Harrah's T5s not the Harrah's Casino T5s) had stamps that were worn off, so I was re-stamping a chip that basically had no remaining foil, it just had the imprint from the original stamp.

Aka chip recycling.

I use a wet magic eraser to clean up stuff like that, light pressure but not enough to go into the large stamp.
Yeah, so I initially tried the wet magic eraser method because I was concerned with using sandpaper, but the wet magic eraser just wasn't getting the job done. I then figured I have enough of these T5s to experiment with the sandpaper and I found it works way better in this particular instance. I'm thinking sandpaper may be a case-by-case thing in situations where a gentler methodology, like wet magic eraser, just isn't cutting it.
