I love TRKs but those riverside $25s seem out of place with the blue $5s and pink $100s.
lol, read that back again. It's exactly BECAUSE of the non-standard colors that the brown $25s look so good. It would be weird if the surrounding chips were red and black (or yellow and white).

im not against brown chips. This started because I saw one I liked. But I would say in most cases where there is a brown chip, a black chip would do better.:bag:
I have a brown T100 in my latest T100-base tourney set (basically same colors as the Riverside $25). Works much better than stark black would have, as all of the chips in the line-up are low-contrast (almost pastel) colors.

I like the SB $20, too. But generally, I'm not a big brown chip fan.

I guess I’m thinking about how they would work in an actual set. There’s several brown chips that I think are nice on their own but not in the set. I get the contrast but contrast can be done without muting the lineup like in the riversides. I think a yellow $20 would work way better and provide the contrast. after a blue $5.

But I get why it works. Just not for me.

I have the same opinion , albeit not as strong, about pink chips. :jawdrop:

I think a lot of the brown and grey shades are underestimated for cash set fracs because they can work with traditional colour progressions. The right dark brown or grey also makes a good substitute for black T100 in tourney sets.

My first Mail PrOn post. Probably not as exciting compared all the amazing chipsets being traded around here at the moment.

Backstory. My chipping adventure started about 3 months ago with me so innocently looking for a set of chips that I could host a few cash games and tourneys with some mates. After watching plenty of hobbyphillics youtube videos, I found myself on Apache's website ordering one of each of the sample sets on offer. This was before I knew PCF even existed. I was oblivious to the world I was about to enter. So in the nearly 2 months it has taken for these to arrive I have learned so much and have thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. Since this purchase I have purchased more samples sets than I know what to do with and still no closer to deciding or acquiring an actual set to play with. I have also set myself an ambitious task of hunting down a playable cash set from a local illegal casino here in Sydney that closed down nearly 30 years ago. Only time will tell whether or not that will come to fruition.

In the meantime I look forward to sharing my own chip adventure as well as sharing in everyone elses.

Note I couldn't wait to get home to open these and will share better pics when I do. In the meantime you can all have a guess what I bought.

Cheers again to all PCF members.
