Liked these from photos, but I gotta say in person the color really pops and they're way more fun than I was expecting!

I've owned bunches of CDIs -- the 98s and 05s as well as the ones BCC made. I like them all. The 05s have rich, bright explosions of color (I especially love the arc yellow $1,000). But the THC 98s have a texture, weight and balance that really draws others senses into the experience. I also dig their classic vintage look, and the lineup includes some pretty gorgeous chips, with a color palette that is almost nothing like the 05s. The radiant red $5s are a real stand out. Horizon blue $1s with blaze orange and yellow spots. Purple $500s. Arc yellow and metallic gold spots on the hundos. And thats not even mentioning the unicorn fracs or the $1,000s (which have also become quite difficult to find these days). The BCC version is a lesser facsimile of the 98s, but at about 1/3 the price... so they are a pretty good value -- at least IMHO -- for CDI lovers who don't have the cash for 98s or may struggle to find them. As many chippers suggest, buy samples. You may also consider buying just a barrel of each type. I find a full barrel gives me a much better idea of the feel of a chip.Last Q about the CDI’s: I’ve read that the 98’s are sought after the most, is that because they’re older or better? if the 98’s are “better” than the 05’s then why is that?

Congrats and dibs!It was a TRK kind of weekend. I normally don't collect singles, but was kind of liking @Ben8257 TRK sample case that he posted a couple weeks back so I picked up a couple. @liftapint I owe you many times for many things so the Shy Clown is yours gratis whenever you want it. Also I figure there is no better time then now to start scooping up Nevada Club $100s. And a couple Money Tree .50s...
