Amazing mail day yesterday. These secondary HSI chips are an amazing bargain and a great breakdown for a single table cash set (not the best lighting in the pic below).
@TheChipRoom was nice enough to send some secondary snappers to check out/test out. I will post some more info in another thread, but needless to say they have the yellow discoloration that I have seen in other light pink chips.
Much of the yellow can be removed from the edges and face using magic eraser (there is some left but it makes a big difference and makes the chips more consistent). In low light conditions it is not as apparent on the cleaned chips.
I plan to try out the Ultrasonic this week (I didnt have much luck with the Ultrasonic when cleaning Cleveland $500s with this issue, but due to these being unused it seems the yellow is closer to the surface and comes off easier). The middle barrel in the top rack in the pic above had an initial cleaning.
Here is a chip that I have cleaned half the face on.
And here is 10 chips before and after:
I'll share more results as they come in.
This is the yellow from just a couple chips:
I plan to do an inlay removal/replacement on the $2.50 to a $0.25 (trial inlays onroute).
