Small but awesome mail day!!

Beautiful holiday present of a NUTS sample set and seriously @Himewad those buttons came out amazing!

On the right a couple singles, but the red HS $5 is an original Maryland Card room close to my work in Upper Marlboro, thank you for the heads up in that one @John Conor ! Very happy to have a chance to own one of those!

HUGE mail day for me today, and quite unexpected. Had a busy day and just started ripping into packages when I got home. Didn’t look at the return address and just figured I was opening things I had ordered. Until I cut one envelope and these came out:

Recognizing the yellow chips with blue edge-spots, I was like WTF! How and why?!? After catching my breath and picking myself up off the floor, I grabbed the envelope and saw it was from @Ben8257 and @FordPickup92 address.

Ben and I happen to both be working on Artichoke sets for a long time. He knew that I needed five more half-dollars to get playable for a 6-handed game. Even though he and Brie love these little yellow chips (I mean, who wouldn’t) he decided to send them to me. Without asking for anything in return. I’m still pinching myself every now and then and I just can’t believe someone would be so selfless and generous with something that I know they loved and means a lot to them. Probably one of, if not the, nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I’m humbled and more grateful than I can express!

This gets me to sixty fiddys and playable for six-handed .10/.20. More than that, the extra one gets me on my way to 7, or even, maybe someday, 8-handed! From now on, December 13th will be known as Saint Ben Day, in my house. I don’t even have the words to express my infinite gratitude, Ben. But let’s start with thank you, thank you, thank you!

No thank you needed brother! I know what these mean to you as I also adore them. They are meant to be in playable quantities with their friends! Merry Christmas Conor!

Not many trully understand the patience and drive it requires to build racks/sets a chip at a time, and in these unprecedented times where it seems singles are drying up and bringing 8 - 10 times their value, it can be heart breaking to see months and years pass without reaching your mile stones and goals! I do know what it takes and @RivieraDanny helped me finish my dream rack this year

Some of us still believe in chipping karma and paying forward the good debts bestowed upon us! It was my turn and couldn't think of a better recipient! I hope one day to see a complete rack and finished set (as long as I can still sneak through a few $1s! Lol) I know what it would mean to you!

Forever your chippin fam Ben/Brie

BTW @FordPickup92 skinned her knuckles finding these at the convention for me, and agreed to sending them to their forever home, without her this "gift" was never possible!

So convincing. What manufacturer made them? Might be a great option for some of the local games here in LA.
Same people that made the card mold chips for the group buy (Tina). I gave them my design and payment on 11/24/2021 and they got them printed and delivered to my house by 12/10/2021.

I did a group buy for some of the Aria’s chip and they took 6-9months to get those done.

In any case, if you want to PM me, I can give you more details.

After the US/Canada land border being closed to non-essential crossings for nearly 20 months, I was finally able to pickup some long awaited packages from my PO Box this past weekend! What a relief!

First up, some inter continentals that I’ve been waiting to relabel for my World Trade Centre set:

Next up, my custom order NCC cards mold, from the 2020 summer group buy! Being that my order was in the last production group, these didn’t land stateside under mid 2021 and have been sitting at my PO Box since July!

Last, but not least! My WTC chips, which the majority were purchased from a new member who only joined the forum to sell his set! He was extremely good with communication and gave me all the details I needed to feel comfortable with the transaction… but after nearly 6 months since doing the deal, I have to admit, I was a little nervous what I would find! Note, I arranged the US shipping at around the time when Canada was opening up the border to US residents and I wrongly assumed that the US would reciprocate shortly there after. Oops. Lol

And finally, not part of the US PO Box lot but a direct shipment from France to Canada! These beauties (even though they need bath)

Hey @jpietrella any ideas for a good $5 here? :)

AMFdV5N.jpg
Awesome.

This quest is not for the faint of heart. For spot progression, I'm assuming you'd either want another 4D14 or a 3TA14(16?) or a 4TA chip here?

Scandia/CDI'98 $5, Empress $5 come to mind. For my Riffles set I went with the Casino Royale $1 as my $5, but the condition is lesser than your chips here.

God speed.

Though if you could find multiple racks of these $20 chips to use as $5s and alternate 414 with 4D14 you'd have a banger: http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=CAPORH

No offense indented but probably me and about 4 guys over 60 are the only ones that trully love these!

Seriously thank you soo much to @Littleluck55 for reaching out when he saw I bought the other HHL chips, and to @JWC for allowing me the chance to own something really special! I think the Corona clubs will play beautifully as nickles in this line up!

All original 1960s Cali chips. With only 50 of each denom of the $.25/$1/$5 I thought adding a nickel should help me get it from 3 players with $100 buy ins up to 4 players (20/12/9/1) $20 buy ins and lots of $5s for rebuys.

Unfortunately there is only 99 of the Corona Clubs and finding one more will likely be a chore as this particular chip is not even on the Chip Guide yet! Fingers crossed as you never know when one might pop up!

Also again thank you for the beautiful custom chip Sonny.

Who would have ever thought a man from Kentucky would go with a horse theme? Lol but even still went with a Horse Head Left for the inlay... yes I noticed!

Can't wait to get through two other sets and get to cleaning these amazing chips!

They look good together. Hopefully they work out for you.
