Yesterday was a pretty cool mail day. Never thought I would run across a full rack of these Atlantic Maritime fracs.

I’m guessing 8d18 with 1 color same as base? Super cool

Yes, it was 8D18, with one of the colors matching the base. David offered to rotate the spots 27.5 degrees to minimize appearance of asymmetry (as opposed to 30 degrees, which is possible through the chip design tool). I was warned there may be some "ghost lines" or similar imperfections where the same-colored clay was compressed together, but I see zero issues on that front. It looks exactly what I would expect an 818 to look like with no imperfections. Very happy with how it turned out.

Also, everyone who has a CPC order in writing to David about the 8D18 magic trick right now

Lost in transit? That's a new one to me.
That's why they were never put into circulation, apparently. The story I've heard is that they were stolen/intercepted/lost/etc between the manufacturer and the casino, but I'm not sure why that would only have applied to the $25s.

I did not notice the “lost” note on any other denomination. Maybe a rack of these went AWOL but the rest of the shipment was cherry? Cool story behind a classic leaded THC.

I've mentioned before that I spend enough time away from home that when I return to town and my office, I usually have a handful of packages when I get back. It's a bit like Christmas, except I know what's inside.

My take from @Jeff 's button selloff (that I somehow missed when they were first available despite commenting on the design as it was in progress ) and a handful of singles.

The Pioneer $25 is to replace one that was broken in shipment (don't just put a chip in an envelope tucked in a Starbucks cup sleeve), the QE2 as a rather interesting wet chip (why was it in dollars and not pounds??), the YOT Drragon because, well, it's a dragon (I have the entire set, but wanted one of these as a card cap) and the Pal's Club $1 (I have the rest of the lineup, but the $1 is quite uncommon. It's really cool old chip with a bit of a mysterious history).
