Ahhh. I think it is just a novelty (WSOP is always collectible plus these are the first clay chips in a while IIRC) and those are impulse prices for a lot of people. I had wanted a WSOP chip for a while, and when these came out as real clay chips with an actual WSOP "house" mold I knew I wanted one as a card capper.

Just checked. $400. Also several in the $500-$600 range as well.

Right, but I don’t think there are any 25ks in the starting stacks of $400 tournaments. You have to work for a while to get to those.

True. Although Event #51: $400 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em has a 40K starting stack. Definitely a 5K in there. Color up at level 10.

After looking at some of these maybe I do have a shot at playing in the WSOP some day at one of these moonshot events.

Right, but I don’t think there are any 25ks in the starting stacks of $400 tournaments. You have to work for a while to get to those.

We didn't get 25k chips until the end of day 2 in the 10k HORSE event, and that had 60k starting stacks.
