A little something different for me, a mold that I've never had in quantity before, but something very nice! Nice local find that was sent to me by a member here that doesn't even live in Vegas. Amazing price and something at first didn't really want to buy, but I thought why not. These are OG! Such a cool vintage case, very nice locking system in the front, wooden tray/sections inside the case and just so nice. I don't remember seeing a case like this before. These chips are SOLID. Such nice condition and they stack so so so well. Basically a Red/White/Blue set!

(missing one red chip :( which kind of sucks)

Plus some holographic stickers for over labeling... Team Red’s turn is next!

And the finishing touches to my hybrid PCA Empress set! Sorry for the crappy garage lighting. It’s dark at 5pm!

You need used PCA primary fracs now.
Truth. Or ditch fracs altogether. I feel fortunate/blessed to be able to even throw this set of tires together these days without being an OG (thank you OGs!). Did take hours of cleaning and oiling. I had to scrape paint off Aztars one by one with basically an engraving tool (unrelated project).

Oxyclean. Magic eraser. Nothing touched this crap. That one chip took 14 minutes...

Something different… how a napkin survives this long is beyond me.
These are remarkable!!! Thanks for sharing them!!!

In a similar "how does this still exist", I have at home a small cardboard tube about the size of a lipstick tube of single use perfume each in thinner than a toothpick glass vials. The user would snap the end off of, apply and discard. All four vials that were originally included are there intact and unused. I also have what looks like an oversized matchbook but has 8 or 10 single use lipsticks, each one basically an oversized match that can be torn off, used then disposed of. Again here, it's unused and in almost pristine shape.

Both of these are from "Phil Long's California Club" from Downtown marked "Compliments of Billye Long." Based on the dates he owned the place, date these from the early to mid 1960s.

I have a 1956 (I'm pretty sure that's the date) little notebook from the Pioneer, again from Downtown. This has a calendar as the endpapers, cocktail recipes as well as proper empty pages for notes that have not been used. The binding is still very tight which tells me this was probably picked up when it was handed out and never used.

How do these otherwise "disposable" items that were presumably given to patrons of these two establishments, either to attract their business or as a thank you, survive unused like your napkin?? They are great little pieces of history that probably shouldn't exist!

(Once I'm back home from travel before and for Thanksgiving, I should take photos of some of these gems to share....)
