Chip is sold! And we got 305 for the pot.Fantastic, offer stands! Thx for offering it up.
Lol, I like how I'm doing this when I'm not even doing this.

I feel like I’ve seen that chip sell for a buttload of money? It’s stunning. Something about the inlay betrays its age in suck a beautiful way. It makes me think of something I would have seen in my grandfather’s basement workshop.
After spending over $50k on chips, this finally happened to me. Video snapshot of USPS handing me an opened cardboard box containing dunnage, but no chips
Because that is the difference between "lost" and "delivered" -- delivered with damage, but delivered nonetheless. Why bother handing you the empty box? WTF?
you have no idea what these *ing trucking companies get away withSo does USPS insurance cover that? Why bother handing you the empty box? WTF?
I (somewhat recently) opened a case with USPS on an insured package for over $1k. It arrived empty with damage to the box and my claim was denied. I also lost the appeal. So does USPS insurance cover that? Why bother handing you the empty box? WTF?

GG USPS.
It really is, I'll never purchase it again. And this is why I think USPS insurance is flushing cash down the toilet.

Do you mind sharing your story so we can learn from it?It really is, I'll never purchase it again.
They told me that I couldn't produce evidence of damage to the contents and so that's why it was denied.
'kay.
Package was stamped with a few "received without contents" and "received unseal." Likely my local post office's way of showing this poor condition was how they received it. I don't want to go into too much details because this happened last night so USPS hasn't had to chance to view my online claim yet.So does USPS insurance cover that? As a rule, I take photos of all the shipments I send, including how chips are packed inside the boxes. Who knows if it would help in a situation like the ones described above, but at least I know I can provide proof of bomb-proof packaging if need be.Do you mind sharing your story so we can learn from it?
Are you suggesting chippers need to start documenting their packing process incase a claim needs to be made?

For bigger shipments typically I’ll put individual chip boxes inside an SFRB which is taped shut. Then place as many as possible in a MFRB/LFRB to hopefully keeping any chips from escaping.
Edit: if done correctly this also helps reinforce the larger box

And I’ve never done this so far but wrapping chip boxes in Saran Wrap before going into an SFRB would add another layer of protection.
Ultimately, if someone really wants to get into the contents, they will and there's not much anyone can do about that, but that's about the only way chips are finding their way out of one of my shipments.
I hate plastic wrap with every fiber of my being.Oh absolutely.
Assuming that chip packages are likely to get some kind of (hopefully)mild mistreatment while being shipped has been my standard for a while.
Think I might try the plastic wrap thing for my next shipment. Warneke box-->plastic wrap-->SFRB-->MFRB/LFRB means the only way chips come loose is because of malfeasance.

Eh. If people just used tape everywhere, it curbs most of the issues. Seal that sucker up on every angle. As much as I hate it when opening chip packages, it's appreciated in the long run because it works
I've never used SFRB boxes, but do my best to line my boxes with layers of bubble wrap as well as individually bubble wrap each box of 100 chips. I'm convinced you could drop most of my shipments off a 2-story building without much worry about damage.
And of course, I use heavy-duty packing tape and tape the shit out of the outside of the main box as well.

If and when there is enough room in a box to add some extra packing into a shipment I always wrap any type of chip box in the Post Office Tyvek bags. Those things are basically indestructible. I stick the chips into the bag, wrap it like a burrito tight and then seal it. After its in the box then I'll also add extra packing such as bubble wrap, those air packets and whatever else I can add to make sure that the chips don't move at all. My main thinking when I'm packing is to make sure the chips don't move, they are protected from all sides and they aren't loose. I've never had an issue yet and I hope I never do.Oh absolutely.

Those bags are amazing. Between those and the bubble mailers, you can do nearly anything. If and when there is enough room in a box to add some extra packing into a shipment I always wrap any type of chip box in the Post Office Tyvek bags. That’s horrifying. Makes me sick. Sorry to hear it.I (somewhat recently) opened a case with USPS on an insured package for over $1k. It arrived empty with damage to the box and my claim was denied. I also lost the appeal.

100%.That’s horrifying. Makes me sick. Sorry to hear it.
That’s the biggest reason why I wanted to sell the Foxwoods chips locally. I don’t think I could sleep at night after putting chips that valuable in a box and then hoping for the best.
And it also makes me want to demand back the $50 I paid them for insurance on the last $1500 package I sent out. If they’re not gonna pay out legit claims then they’re just stealing that insurance money from all of us. Fuck them.
we need USPS proof packaging..... bomb proof doesnt seem to be working. only thing I can think of is wrapping packages in black plastic wrapI do have a couple photos of how it was packed and what's supposed to be inside. I shared those photos with USPS, so we'll see if they help. This isn't the first time I purchased from this PCF member and he habitually spends a lot of time and effort carefully bombproofing packages.
