You no longer running tournaments, Mark? Did you turn the league over to somebody else, or was it simply abandoned in favor of cash games only?
There are a few others that host tournaments, and so much has happened at home this past year that I needed to stop. No league anymore, but plenty of action.

Plus, MD Live! Is 15 minutes door to door, and the horseshoe is 20 min. They have tons of tournaments too. I plan on trying a WSOP satellite next month too at the shoe.

I'm planning to visit PGI tomorrow and pick mine up before an evening of bumhunting at Daytona 2/5.

It's ironic that I'm the closest PCFer to PGI, yet I'll be one of the last ones to get my chips. :)

Here is my setView attachment 6702 I purchased while my game was going strong. Since then, I've broken up my game and will primarily host cash games. Most of them (if not all of them) have been claimed by others.

That's a lot of chips! I had the same thing happen. When I ordered the chips I hosted a tournament every month. Now I just host a cash game so mine won't be getting much use either.

Mine arrived yesterday. All present and accounted for. Need to post at least 1 pic, because I haven't seen anyone else post naked chip pr0n (blanks, that is).

I ordered 3175 total chips, a 1600-pc set for BGinGA and 75 full sample sets (1575 chips) destined for other folks.

Pulled all chip rolls out of the seven 500-count shipping boxes today and did inventory. Missing a 25-stack of T250K chips. Sent Joe/Kim/Barry an email detailing the problem, got a shipping notice 19 minutes later. Pretty decent customer service.

T5/T500K, T25, T500, and T25K chips clearly thicker than the other six denominations, evident even while still shrink-wrapped. Plan to break the chips out of plastic wrappers this afternoon and do a visual inspection for label accuracy, placement, and adhesion, followed by rack fit exploration. Will report findings when finished.

Sitting at the kitchen table and I see the UPS truck go zooming past my house. Ummmm....I have chipes on board, deliver plz.

saw a comment on CT where it was mentioned that the chips felt rubbery. was this just an idiosyncratic way of describing the china clay material with which we're already familiar?

looking forward to the samples PAZ generously offered to send. might put in an order for some custom labels to go on blanks after PGI has their stock of blanks ready to sell...

I think you could be right Jack but imo, compared to any other China Clays I handled, those CPSs are the least 'plasticky'/'rubbery' of them all... That might actually be the first thing I noticed about the chips... The second being some of the bright colors, specially the green T25 and the orange T5000... Haven't written a review yet but I gotta say I am VERY impressed by those chips... Shuffling in a bit hard still, but there's nothing bad to say about the CPSs imo... Well, if I could pick one small negative thing it would be that the edges are a bit too beveled for my taste, so in racks they look more like casino used Paulsons with round edges...

Hosted my final home game in Connecticut tonight. First hand of the night I busted a player and shortly afterwards I busted another to take a commanding chip lead. We started with 15K chips and pretty early I had 60K of the 180K in play (we allowed the first two bust-outs to rebuy) Here's my stack looking nice:

002.jpg

Unfortunately things turned against me in the later levels. Down to three-handed and in the money and the blinds are 1500/3K and I'm sitting on about 27K. First to act on the button and I look down at AQ and make the easy shove. Doofus in the BB calls with 97 s00ted? Flop is 868 and I groan as the 5 hits the turn and a 9 hits the river just to taunt me further. Some days you're the fist, some days you're the face.

So, you now have 27k (9BB) of 180k in play.

You shove. BB calls the extra 8BB. Kind of standard there.

Mike

there's 10.5 BB in the pot and villain has to call 8 BB so he's getting 1.3 to 1 on his money. So he needs about 43% equity with his :9c::7c: to just break even on the play. But you also have to factor in that doubling me up gives me an average stack three-handed, and takes a big chunk out of his stack. Generally he's going to be in a 60/40 spot here, unless I happened to shove with A9/K9 or something, so he's making a -EV play with his call here, especially when you figure given the amount of chips out there this is going to represent 1/3 - 1/2 of his stack.

It's cool, I wanted to have the opportunity to double up and get back into the fray, just didn't go my way.

Here we go , Naked (unlabeled) chips Pr0n.

2015-02-14 08.03.01.jpg

The blues are still out of the box because most of their wrappers were broken. Heights (in shrinkwrapped) stacks of 25 all looked fairly close to the naked eye. The blues fit extremely well into my generic chip rack bought years ago from an unknown vendor). They are a little dusty, so I will wash/wipe them before applying labels. This probably explains why some of the manufactured labels pulled away a bit.

As for the smell, it is exactly like the smell of my new Milanos. I wouldn't sell it as a cologne (Smell like a million bucks with Chip, from Armani - only at Macy's), but I don't find it as bad as some others have. I won't need to add vinegar to the wash solution. I will work on the labels, see if I have enough chip trays laying around and then order the labels, a birdcage, and trays as needed. Looking sharp right now, cannot wait to get all the way home with these.

Awesome! I found my missing remote. Thank-you chip pr0n!

Initial count of my chips and I believe they are all here... With the exception of my T500 chips showed up as $500 chips. I'll have to email Joe to get it taken care of. Who uses $500 cash chips! Wow, baller!

Fitment review:

I took one of each denom, unwrapped, and rack tested them (with the exception of the T500, which I don't have yet. I didn't want to unwrap the $500 just to fit them, when I'll most likely be sending them back to PGI.

I thought my cash chips were all very consistent, they easily slid into the racks, very similar to some of my nice Paulson cash chips. Still solid enough for my taste (not too much wiggle, but def more than the T chips).

The tournament chips were ALL snug. Some were very hard at first to fit. However, a little fluffing the chip stacks some to wear off some of the dust, allowed them to fit (still tightly). I am fine with this, as these will loosen up with time, and aren't impossible to get racked... and they're all consistent with each other.

The jury is still out on the yet untested T500, which is the denom most everyone has had thickness issues with. Since my $500 are cash chips and from the first batch, I'm guessing they'd fit differently anyways.

Unlike others, I have not observed any smells associated with these chips.

I didnt notice this green chip until looking at the picture. The cross hatching seems rubbed/ground off..? I did have to snug it into the rack, up I didn't thinks I did this enough to wear off the x-hatching...? Any thoughts?

Truth th be told, I'm not overly concerned with this, but I am curious.

You really have to get into the chip to really pick up the smell.

As for the T&S, I found it somewhat difficult to even see the T&S. If the light reflected off the chip just right, I could see it, otherwise it was just lost. This may clear up after the dust is removed, but at this juncture, I'm glad I didn't go with a medieval theme for the labels. It's just not as prominent as a Paulson or CPC mold.

Mine came in yesterday. I ordered blanks with custom labels.

PGI did a great job on these and I know I'm going to enjoy them! The blacks are slightly thinner and the lavenders are thicker than the others. These pics were taken on a black table top to quickly get them posted.

I got 1600, and the set is design for 40 players. Here's the breakdown.
Day Green 25x325
Black 100x425
Lavender 500x125
Orange 1,000x250
Pink 5,000x250
Forrest Green 25,000x175
Yellow 100,000x50

Trying to get caught up on custom chips database. I know I should remember who did your art, but could you remind me (so I don't have to waste more time searching threads, email, or asking Bergs?)

I ended up with close to 1200 "extras" and after spending 3 days with them I feel like I need extras for my extras......! :)

On a side note, so far I've unwrapped close to 3000 out of 4099 and I've only found one blank T25 and one almond $1 missing one label. That's pretty good so far. :)
last night I was trying to find my "least favorite" and honestly I can't even get there!! ;) they are great chips all around

hey if you care to sell me the 500's I would like to buy them --- seeing you did not need them anyway let me know

I'd be cleaner than me sending them back to PGI. However, I need to clear that with Joe first, and make sure he's got T500's for me... At this point, it's Joes call, but I'd be happy to sell them for whatever Joe would charge me for replacement T500's.

Ill wait a it to hear back from Joe on his resolution, and then I'll PM you if we can make a deal.

Some pics!

This is not my final arrangement in the drawers... I need to get rubberized drawer liners, otherwise, the chip trays slide around. Also, I have yet to put the T500 into the mix.

A note on Oiling... I oiled a barrel from each of the denoms. Really want to oil them all, but this will be quite the undertaking. The colors that really benefitted from oiling, Reds, Blacks (wow), and oranges. The others all saw some improvements, but these colors really stood out IMHO.

BG, I wasn't around on the boards when the CPS order was happening. If you have any cancellations or openings on sample sets, I'd love to take one. No biggie if none open up, but I figure it's worth asking - and either way, I appreciate you handling all those chips for samples for the community.

I'm putting these into play today! They are beautiful. I hope shuffling becomes much easier with some wear down. These babies have some serious texture with the crosshatching.

Had the same concern but a little shuffling and they'll start working better, didn't take me too long. Enjoy!

Paris -> Cologne -> Madrid WTF It makes no sense. Nice sightseeing tour though.

tapatalking ...

Just bought a set of Chips from Liftapint. Looking forward to getting them, i've been watching this and the pron threads for some time now, being jealous. Soon I get in on the action.

I'm just glad they arrived before the LA ports got locked-down from labor disputes. I'd hate to see chippers swimming out to sea to get their chips off the boats. It would look like the first leg of a triathlon.

Here are mine. 1200 cash, 2300 tournament. You can see me working through the 500s shuffling for a couple minutes each to get the dust off. I'm about halfway through that rack.

here is my small cash set...i think these came out great for such a super price....

guess who from big blue?

Here are my 3 sets. The first column are blanks. Erik is working on a killer design for me that PGI will print. I wasn't necessarily looking for a DIY project but they shipped them with the CPS chips accidentally. No worries.....Joe said it's not difficult to apply the labels. I'm using Lavender for the T500's as I wanted a more traditional color. Set 2, like the blanks are T25 to T5K. The break down of set #3 is to create a 'final table' structure.
