I'm not... it's 1/3 monkey poker... analyzing play and "leak-finding" is for real poker... like when I'm doing the 2/5 at the hard rock or in Vegas... this part of poker is purely exploitative... wait until you have a good hand and bet the shit out of it, get called, and rake in the value

I'd think losing 667BB in ~3-4hrs of live play (60-100 hands?) would be worth some review/discussion/analysis. I think you're doing yourself a disservice to just immediately dismiss the loss on just bad luck. Sure - it could be just a cold deck. But there's always an opportunity to learn and improve. Even if it's ABC poker.
Like top pair vs 2nd pair. He gets there on the turn. Was the money put in preflop, flop, turn, river? How many players were in the hand on each street? You didn't describe the size of the pot in this one. Are you playing for stacks with one pair?

Update #18 and #19
Update 18 was the 25c home game pictured above... I debated whether or not to include it... but poker is poker... I made $88 after playing for 6.5 hours.
Update #19 takes us back to Cincinnati where the big $5-$10 game was running tonight. As I have extensive experience playing the 5-10 game and honestly it seems to be my strongest level, I decided to take the 3k I brought along this work trip and see how the best players in the area are.
It was great being back to playing REAL poker as opposed the the monkey bingo offered at the Hangar. It's almost like I have a bigger edge playing against more solid players than I do playing the monkeys. As it goes in these sort of games, almost every hand I played went without a showdown, so no real major hands to go over since I don't know what anyone else had.
The biggest pot of the session was an early position open to 35 (standard raise amount for the table) with pocket fives. 2 callers in later positions. Flop comes 2-5-6 rainbow. I check, CO bets 100, 1 fold, I call. Turn is a deuce putting two of a suit on board. I check, CO bets 250, I raise to 700 targeting overpairs and flush draws. CO Calls. River is a brick, and I shove for maybe half pot and CO folds claiming a nut flush draw.
Sickest hand of the night I was able to watch, $100 heads up per player preflop. Flop comes A-3-4, both players get it all in for about a 5k pot. AA (big blind) vs 2-5($25 straddle defense). Turn T river T for the shipparoonie.
It's not a huge win for the stakes, but it does a LOT for my confidence going forward to book a good-sized win after the recent slide.
Starting Bankroll: $11,232
Location: Hard Rock Casino, Cincinnati, OH
Stakes: 5/10 NLHE
Time: 3 Hours
Buyins: $2,400
Cashouts: $3,945
Result: $1,545

for the record, the 43mm $500 at the cinci hard rock are pretty fire.... especially in low light with the dayglow stripes... if they ever change their chips and it comes to a chip room sale... definitely lock up a set while they last...

Hey, I like PLO and I like NLHE. But I want to play either one, or the other. This crap about putting PLO or any of it's variants into the middle of a game of NLHE sounds absolutely stupid to me. If the card room (and it's customers) want PLO games, or crazy circus games, then put them at their own dedicated table. Let the Hold'em players play Hold'em.
I enjoy round by round PLO and NLHE. Its not for everyone but I love the change of pace and have found an advantage competing against players who are good at one but not both games. To each their own of course.
You find this in a casino / card room? In a home game, do whatever you and your players want. My comment was in regards to the games @Av8tion is playing in our local card room.

Harrah's New Orleans spreads 4/8 Half and Half. Round of limit HE followed up with a round limit Omaha.

But I assume since you are giving a specific stakes that this is limited to one or a few tables, correct? Every NLHE table in the casino doesn't run like this does it?
That is the issue, that in this cardroom the NLHE player doesn't have an option to play at a table that is exclusively NLHE.
It's only relevant if every NLHE table in the casino forces you to also play PLO or Bomb pots. I'm all for variety and was in no way implying that these types of table should be eliminated. Only that the NLHE player should have options to sit at a table that is exclusively NLHE.
Maryland live is casino with one of the best poker rooms on the east coast……that is, if u like action.

Luckys/TGT has a PLO/NLHE mix on Thursdays. But the hold em round is zero action as everyone but one buffoon wants to play PLO
He pisses and moans if people try to take NLHE out of the rotation. I guess raising and stealing $3 a bunch of times is really important to him lol

I don’t play holdem much at all (well, except for at @Seeking Alpha Social Club house where I happened to take down the holdem main event…..) but my father in-law plays 1-3 no limit and 4-8 limit. He comes from philly to md live because he thinks the action at md live is 10 times better then up his way.
The last time I played at TCH in Austin (was couple years ago) they would let you opt out of the bomb pots if you wanted. Lodge would also let you opt out of bomb pots as well. They weren't the PLO bomb pots though, just standard NLHE bomb pots with a double board.
opting out of the bomb pots and such isn't the problem... it's the fact that you're still paying for the time while they do these stupid things.... and they take forever because it's always a 3-4 way allin that ends up being chopped... so now you've wasted 1/4 of my time that i'm paying to be at the table with your stupid bomb pots...
