These were clearly designed to look "used" with the faux molds and discoloration and then they marked the condition as used to make them look like authentic chips.

They’re on a fake horseshoe mold, so they’re not even accurate.
But yes, every time I bitch about people copying chips and making fake casino chips? See above.

That’s amazing. Nowhere does it say how many chips there are, nor is there a picture of them in the case. That might be like 80 labeled dice chips for $150
Could offer $.25... but what the hell do you do if they accept the offer! Lmao

Honestly a gift is a gift... but... no thanks! Really... you just keep those!

Just browsing eBay for the hell of it, noticed that anybody who has a rack or more of Paulsons for sale, ex-casino or fantasy or whatever, is asking at least $10-12 per chip or $1000 per rack, minimum. Has it been this way for the past while?

any past sales confirming that they are actually selling at that price? 13% eBay fees really doesnt help either.

It just boggles my mind where they are getting their evaluation ideas from.
At the same time, there are definitely racks here that go for a thousand or two. Especially boat chips. I don't think I've seen IHCs sub-$10/chip in a while. I can see that for eBayers doing google searches who just want to unload and who have no clue what a boat chip is or what IHC means, it's not a stretch to think their eyes would light up with dollar signs like Scrooge McDuck.

My opinions of eBay have been getting worse and worse lately, and not just for chips, really for everything. From what I can tell, the market is playing the long game. If you can sell something way overpriced like that, it's worth waiting for a sucker to come along; afterall there's one born every minute. I think that's the eBay strategy now, list things overpriced and leave them. If in 6 months they sell, it's all for the good, and otherwise, they'll lower the price gradually and they aren't really any worse off. Been seeing this alot lately.

It's the "list for free" feature that leads to this bullshit. Sellers have no incentive to list at "reasonable market" prices. If it cost to list and relist something over and over again then maybe people will get wiser.

Yes. Another thing I’ve noticed is sellers listing chips for hugely inflated prices, but then accepting a reasonable offer. It might be an effective end-around to getting lowballed?
Guy had 10x Excalibur house mold $1s - they appear to be in excellent+ to NM condition listed for $100. Spinettis has these chips in similar condition listed for $8, which seems high.
I offered the guy $50 and he accepted it in like 10 min. Honestly, I’d rather pay $3.50-$4 for those chips. But maybe it’s a psychological thing - offering less than half feels weird. So instead of shooting low, I offered him the most I was willing to pay. And since he accepted it right away, it’s safe to say he would have taken less.
So maybe it is an effective way to sell?

And along the lines of there’s one born every minute, I started telling this one, but I realized how stupid it made me sound, so I stopped.
Seller is offering a chip for $20. It’s way overpriced, especially in the condition it’s in - I’d say it’s worth $3. So I offered $4 just for shits and giggles. Today he accepted. So I got a $3 chip for $4. Yay me! Maybe if he were asking $40, I’d have given him $5.
