Got mint in vegetable box so decided on a mojito. Why not?

NFL X-Box draft day. 3 screens running, plus a Polartini - a Grey Goose Martini with a splash of Blue Curacao, with 2 olives, one blue cheese stuffed, and one with toasted almonds.

Lets see.........Today I have consumed a Kentucky Mule, an Old Fashioned, and a Bourbon served neat......Martini next? After all it is party time!

So how did you like it?
I have to admit, it wasn't my favorite. My wife thinks we need to step our choice of vermouth. We have noticed the choice of booze can make or break a cocktail.
So far we are steadfast on Plymouth Gin, Chopin Potato Vodka and Herradura Tequila

The Negroni is probably somewhat of an acquired taste. I personally prefer mine with a bit less Campari, or swapping in a less bitter amaro like Aperol or Nonino. Campari has quite the bite. I also prefer Dolin or Carpano Antica vermouth, so you might try one of those. The standard recipe is a 1:1:1 mix but play around with the ratios and you might find something you prefer more.

Yes, the Negroni is on the bitter side. I think I'm used to more bitter tastes in my alcoholic drinks, since I also prefer more tannic wines. I'm sure you can sweeten it up just a tad with a little orange liqueur (triple sec, blue curacao, grand marnier, or the like).
