Today I realized I shouldn’t play PLO at the same buy-in/limit I play Holdem lol
I learn this lesson every time I go to VegasToday I realized I shouldn’t play PLO at the same buy-in/limit I play Holdem lol

Or my favorite set of chipsView attachment 883230
I’m keeping my favorite set of wheels!
I will had chosen the chips if I can only choose 1, I can always get the wheel in future if I can afford it but not so sure if I can get another set of chips without paying the premiumToday I realized that if I ever had to choose between my favorite set of wheelsView attachment 883229

When people in my home game discuss wanting to play PLO, I keep trying to warn them that they have no idea how much faster they are going to go through money at the same blinds. But since no one wants to listen I've decided to try and run a big bet mix:Oh yes, PLO plays much bigger than it looks
Where can I sign up? I’d love to sit this rotation. When people in my home game discuss wanting to play PLO, I keep trying to warn them that they have no idea how much faster they are doing to go through money at the same blinds. But since no one wants to listen I've decided to try and run a big bet mix:

I actually live only 30 mins away from Mr. Tree if you are in town for that. And I thought about running a game that same weekend. But it would have been on the same day as his tournament AND turns out we are going to the in laws that day.Where can I sign up? I’d love to sit this rotation.

Long story short: come to GA on another weekend.
I'd love to host a meetup. While we technically have the space, I'd have to move around so much of the kids' stuff that I'd rather just wait until we move to a bigger house. Plus, I'm not a real "chipper." So I'd really need to rely on guest sets. But one of these days my wife and I will make it happen... Hopefully. On the meet up/PCF home game bucket list.

Bigger and I’m still learning
Highly recommend Jeff Hwangs book to get a solid foundational understanding of the game
Mostly I just need practice, so my mind can think of all outcomes. I’m a damn good holdem player, but I’m playing too fast and not thinking of all scenarios.
Definetly requires a re-tuning of your thought processes regarding hand strengths
When to bet, what to bet, what do I have, what are my outs, leaves me little time to think what they have, and no time to read them

Playing fixed limit with the hands face up, 15/30 two bets to you, 60 to cold call on the turn, you have the heart draw and the set of queens.

I turned my hand face up bet the turn, next player raises not seeing my hand it comes back around so I take it up to 90, fold, call, river is , bye money.
I didn't miss a bet or raise, fixed limit its hard to protect, it would have been more costly playing it as plo
