The Money tree $5 is my favorite chip and I paired them with the China Clubs for my cash set. They work great together.
The MT 25's are hard to come by and run $6+ a piece, but you could get some of those Pick Hobsons25's mint (probably the cheapest mint TRK 25 at this point)
NC/NL $1 - hard to find in mint condition
That's actually my plan. Still need to save some more loot. Normally is sell something to fund this. Ghee only thing I could sell is my fun nite set or my PNY's and I don't want to sell either. Time to bink the tourney on Saturday![]()
This could be the slow long term build. One barrel/rack at a time over many months to a few years. Really spread the cost out while you build it.
Yea, at $3+ per chip you aren't going to get very far!
That's what I'm thinking of doing for my TRK set and this was my start last week. Mint at $4 each. (y) :thumbsup:This could be the slow long term build. One barrel/rack at a time over many months to a few years. Really spread the cost out while you build it.
Perhaps a decent heads up cash set![]()
I've been browsing the forum, google, and @Spinettis Gaming and I've found a few that have caught my eye. There is a Nevada Club 5 orange chip I think. I couldn't find an image of it. I can't save it from Mikko's site. I really like the China club chips. Looks like there is a few different versions. The one I posted could potentially be in my price range.

Just curious... Have you given thought to your desired breakdown? Going to be on smaller side?
The China clubs are a little heavier, stack slightly shorter then the MoneyTrees.
No!When/If I do this, my initial breakdown will be as follows
If I buy from @Spinettis Gaming instead of waiting patiently on here for them to get posted (which could be never), I need to start saving a little better.
200 x .25 (MC Quarters)
150 x 1 ----$450.00
160 x 5 ------$640.00
20 x 25-------$80.00
10 x 100------$60.00
Total: $1230 plus shipping. I only have $800.00 of disposable poker income to spend at this time. I'll either have to start with a heads up set or wait until I have enough poker loot to buy my set in full.
Eventually I'd like to add 25 x 1 and 40 x 5, 20 x 25 to the set.
100.00 starting stacks
20 x .25
15 x 1
16 x 5
Then I would have 15 rebuys available. I've only ever gone over 10 rebuys twice (one of the games was 6 handed)

(I'm paying attention because I'd love to build a similar set. I'm sure TRK quarters don't grow on trees though)
Don't do this to yourself, Bill. Let others fight over the TRK's. Use your money for more customs or Paulsons, or maybe even a Chanman table with custom cloth.

I agree, just play $1/1 with a $100 max. 100BB is still a deep enough game.
I'm guessing it won't change your opening raise amount very much if the starting stacks are the same. I would think normal open is $2-3 in 25c/50c. With $1/1 it will be $3-5.
As the night goes on and rebuys happen opening raises will go up with both blinds structures a little.
Whoops... so this isn't allowed then? No!

Doesn't matter,at this timeuntil Saturday Icurrentlydon't have 1200 to drop on chips.
In all seriousness, using a TRK as a value chip option in my limit game is a way for me to get a few TRKs into play before having a full set. They go so nicely together. Let the ridicule begin.
