Ugliest chips I seen in a while (54 Viewers)

As a complete and total noob, can someone explain to me what y’all dislike most about these? Is it the giant decals? Is it what’s actually on the decals? Being from Alaska, I appreciate some of the art on these more than stuff with palm trees, but that’s a total personal preference thing.

Good question, all comes down to personal taste. In general I’d say most folk here prefer the base poker chip design itself takes center stage with color/edge spots etc, and the inlay label design is secondary and complements the chip. Here most are all like ‘GO’ chips, so oversized inlays that look like one off commemorative designs - so it’s all inlay. They typically sell for cheaper here since they can be less desirable, you also can’t really ‘murder’ or change these GO chips with your own custom label.

Agree with your view though, I thought the polar bear one was cool, never seen that before and thought it was done pretty well.

I think if these were all THC with smaller labels and had the Alaskan theme they’d be a hit on PCF.

Also, go with your gut, if you like, get ‘em ;)

I don't hate it either... My problem with it is that Windsor is about as far south as you can go in Canada (by like ~30km). Literally the last place you would find a Polar Bear or anything Polar Bear related. Detroit has the Detroit Zoo at least you could play off that if it was a Detroit Casino.

Hey I live close to this guy if you're interested I can see if he'll sell just the one and ship it to you. Might be pricey though but up to you.

Just about everything north of northern California is North of Windsor. Pretty fun little fact. What's funny is a lot of people from the states will come to Windsor and area and assume it'll be colder. I have family members that have worked for the border and there have been times in the past where people will bring snow mobiles in the summer assuming we have snow. Not to say all Americans think like that but it can be funny sometimes lol

These chips look waaaay better when stacked on the rail of a craps table during a winning session!
