Hey guys I got some of these sams 1’s with some “dirt” on them. But running them through the ultrasonic didn’t really seem to do much so maybe they’re not really dirty but stained? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean them? Thx

Good job!

When working alone, I usually can do about 500 chips an hour, depending on how gross the chips to be cleaned are.
It usually takes longer to oil, about a rack every 15-20 min.

And how much are you charging for that? Just kidding - nice pics of nice clean chips!

In order to save me reading all 29 pages (I gave up after six), is there a smaller, cheaper cleaner available than the $200 USD version listed on page 1? Or do you rent yours out?

I bought a 3L for $64 one because I was probably only going to need to clean chips occasionally (once or twice a year) and particularly just for one 800 chip set and then eventually for another 500 chip set.

My default address in eBay is my Canadian address but they show free shipping until they get to payment then they want $89 to ship. I can't find any that include shipping to Canada for ~$100 USD.

Here is the biggest sonic cleaner I've ever seen. Three guys did the Entire Bank in two 8 hr shifts (midnight to 8am on Mon-Tue)

I think the conventional wisdom says it's okay with inlaid Paulsons, but not for hot stamps and not for ASM/CPCs. Can anybody back this up with experience? @Gear?

Never tried. I've used metasilicate (non-phosphate TSP) on Bud Jones chips before with no problem. Going to be trying some more either tomorrow or this weekend.

Yep, that's legit trisodium phosphate (not just "TSP brand metasilicate cleaner".)

It's fine, I use it all the time.

Just busted out the ultrasonic today to clean ~8 racks of solids.

My 6 year old daughter was my helper - my "inspector" if they needed more time or a magic eraser.

Rejecting one back to the ultrasonic - "Daddy, this one still has some crud in the watering can."

Top hat and cane no more.

Are those milled THCs with Gear labels that you ultrasonic cleaned? If so, I didn’t think you could ultrasonic chips with Gear labels.
