I had a package in USPS limbo for over a month recently. It never updated, just showed up on my doorstep one day.
 
Anyone heard if FDL is in? I know it was slated to go in after 44 came out.

It’s bad enough when it’s just one box, but when it’s two and one has already arrived, that must be turbo annoying. Hopefully it shows up soon!

I also have my set enroute in two boxes - hoping for the best! :nailbite:

to my knowledge, I was one of the last (if not last) people to get their DSQ order in and I received my shipping order last week. So one could likely assume that DSQ is done or close to it. I could be wrong though.

I haven't received shipping notice on my DSQ, so this run isn't finished quite yet.
 
David mentioned earlier that FDL was up after the 44mm. I took that to mean that mold run would be faster than DSQ. I'm anxious too. Been waiting since last May on my FDL order.
 
The 44mm's aren't done yet. Doubt FDL mold has even started to run.

I'm pretty sure its my order, I'm not sure where in the que I was but mine are just solid blanks so they might have been done first?
 
New guy here with a dumb question, is there a schedule to when the molds run? What is the longest you have to wait if you just mistimed it for a particular pattern?

There's no set schedule. CPC tries to keep us in the loop but when molds run depends on a number of factors, not the least of which
is the number of orders for a particular mold.

DSQ and 44mm are in right now and will be for a good while.
44mm will probably be the first of those out, replaced by FDL.
Elephant & Crown will replace DSQ (only a small run) and then the Small & Large crowns.
Everything is subject to change though. Shit happens.
Lots of things occur that people never know about. A mold may have to be repaired. You can't leave a press empty for 2 weeks so something else goes in. That delays the repaired one had it been due in next etc.
It's moving targets all the time.

Add to that the effect of COVID and things are unpredictable
I'd say waits of 4-6 months are not uncommon....YMMV. Others may have other experiences. If you "just missed", I'd guess you could wait up to 1 year

I placed my order for 44mm in Feb ‘20 and they will arrive tomorrow or Thursday, so my wait was a full year.

I would suspect with the continued covid restrictions that if you just missed the cutoff for a less popular (and thus less frequently run) mold, your wait would be in excess of one year. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was closer to a year and a half.

Anyone had an update from David lately? FDL was close last I heard but that was weeks ago.
