Cruising the Mexican Riviera. NCL Bliss

The Bliss docks beside the battleship Iowa so we dropped our bags at he terminal and took the tour before boarding the cruise ship.

FYI the Iowa class battleships at 68000 tons are dwarfed by our cruise ship at 168000 tons. Cruise ship in the background.


Battleship in the background. Even the kid seems to be enjoying himself.

Suffice to say on the second last night of the cruise we went to the poker room just as the daily tournament was finishing. The winner was a terrible player and he took down $1270 for the win. By midnight we had all of his money and he was broke. Despite the gross $25 max rake, me +$570 and my wife +$655 for a $1225 win.

thank you sir! right place at the rigth time. as usual, the photo doesnt do it justice. it's on the eastern shore of MD, and it's an annual trip with my dad and a group of buddies.

Slightly different setting that a nice duck blind... we were out in the open marsh hunting sikas, moon wasnt in our favor, very high wind and only got to hunt Friday because I had to DJ a wedding Saturday at noon... still had a great time with a bunch of buddies staying on my property... that's what hunt camps are all about!! The wedding... ehhh it was a wedding. They're all basically the same thing other than post me off when they are in the middle of the prime rut!!

Only picture from the wedding... bride is one of my oldest friends... since 1997! 22years strong and couldn't be happier for her!! Nice back yard set up other than way too damn cold! Haha

we hunt down in trapp/cambridge, and use a guide every year. we used to stay with a buddy who unfortunately passed to young. he had some white tail on his property, and a couple of duck blinds, but no sitkas.

Hobbiton in New Zealand. We went to New Zealand, and Australia on our 25th year anniversary. We saw a bunch of the film sites, and took a tour of Weta Studios as well. Here is a shot from Weta.

Long post here, but wrapping up a 52 day trip, 41 days of cruising, 9 days driving the south coast of Australia, and flying time on top.

Oahu
Bora Bora
Tahiti
2 stops in New Zealand
Sydney ( that was 29 days cruising)
Melbourne
Uluru
Great Ocean Road
Grampions Natl Park
Back on boat (same one as before)
12 days around New Zealand, including 3 Sounds, Doubtful, Dusky, and Milford
Back to Sydney tomorrow for flight home.
I’ll load pics onshore, it’s just too much data here.

Old St. Mary's in Greektown?

The wife and I considered getting married there, but candidly, there is enough money in that parish already. We also considered Sweetest Heart of Mary.

We finally settled on Ste. Anne's. We were parishoners for more than five years... But kids kinda put a kink in traveling downtown for mass... We still go to Mass there every year on our anniversary.
