When I was in Hawaii, surface pukes from the surface side of Pearl Harbor and Air Force staff would all eat at the Submarine chow hall when they could. Small price to pay for using their golf courses...LOL.

Probably just a pet peeve of mine but maybe alternate the orientation of the text on the rolling edge so no matter what side it’s on you’ll be able to read the text. I’d be in for a USAF or 2 (10+ years active duty so far)

Edit: the USAF also changed their motto this year: To Fly, Fight and Win…Airpower Anytime, Anywhere

Probably a Pet Peeve for more than just you. I have several DBs I had done where we have alternated the orientation of the text on the Rolling Edge. I was aware of the USAF motto change, but the text of the new one is long and I liked the one I chose. The Army slogan has changed over the years with their different advertising slogans, but the one motto I used for the Army chip is the original. For the Navy there is debate over what the motto is there is no official one, but that saying on the Navy chip is what some call their motto and is on the entrance at the USNA in Latin and in English. The Coast Guard and Marines have always kept the same motto.

Below is the latest rendition with the alternating text orientation. What do people think? Do you like this look or go back to the original look?

I tried that in the USCG edge. It looks odd when you have an odd number of things, particularly 3, and two adjacent will be one way and the the next will be opposite, making the oddball look like an error.

I was thinking that also. With 4 it would look better, but with 3 it can look odd.

Hi All,

We'll keep the text on the rolling edges of the buttons facing in one direction. With the text being longer than the usual DEALER we can only get three or two mottos at the most. Please see the below designs. If there are no further objections or suggestions I will ask Kristil at BRPRO for proofs.
