So, I'm relatively new to chipping. I ordered some samples from the Tina group buy and just realized that I may already have some.

When I was looking for an update to my dice chips about a year ago, I ordered a bunch of samples. Didn't really know what I was looking at back then. Now that I am awaiting the new samples from the group buy, I broke these out.

Are these all Tinas? If not, what are they? They weigh 13g each.

All from China-mass produced-so yes, Tina would sell these to you

1. Various sellers sell these
2. Claysmith Milano
3. Claysmith The Mint
I believe numbers 1 and 3 are slugged plastic and number two is China Clay. When people say Tina around here, they’re talking about ceramics. But she probably sells that other stuff too?

So, are these ceramics then? With molds?

The set I bought about a year ago are the Nevada Jack ceramics from BRPro Poker. I'm assuming the Tina equivalent is the no-mold?

China sells it all and her name is just synonymous with China in my mind. But, point taken, the products from Shenzhen that we see around here are typically ceramic. They do manufacture other types of chip using other materials. Pretty funny looking at its storefront and seeing it selling personal designs of PCF members. What is that old saying, if you sleep with dogs, you might wake up with fleas…

#1 -- injected-molded soft plastic chips surrounding a metal slug, 13g wheat ear mold (blanks and various labels available)

#2 -- 'china clay' chips, injection-molded soft plastic with mineral/silica/chalk additives, 10g milano mold (blanks and various labels available)

#3 -- injection-molded hard plastic surrounding a metal slug, 13g stitch mold (blanks and various labels available)

Wheat ear mold and stitch mold chips typically sell for around 20c-25c/chip. Milano mold chips typically sell for around 30c-35c/chip.

This is great, thank you for the explanation!

Still working on my chipping journey. Have some IOC fracs on the way to go with my $1s. Now to get my hands on some $5s, so I can host a game with them.

My next game is a tournament later this month, so I'll be using the T25 Nevada Jack's set. However, I'm thinking about building a T100 set of something else.

Pending the samples I am getting from Justin, I may go with something like the molds in the pics as an easy set to acquire.

Does anyone have a picture of the sunset beach chips in real life in stacks?
Great question. And then put them next to some Paulsons in the same pic with the same lighting.

When I look at the pics of those IOC chips, they look delicious enough eat!!! The pics of the Tina chips don’t make me want to eat them. At least not yet!
