What are you listening to? (14 Viewers)

I'm also listening to a lot of Highly Suspect these days. I especially use it on my drive to work in the morning.
Wakes me up, and gets me hyped up to start the day. :whistling:

1st one is "Lydia - Live at Grammys". Watch the whole thing, don't let the crazy live guitar intro throw you off.

holy shit. UM has taken it to another level this year...multiple shows outta control.

I dare you to watch this whole show and NOT be impressed. (they have done better since this, lol)

I'm listening to this song for the first time in 20+ years because my friend always fucked with me for liking it.

Well, when I was 15, I could relate to wanting to be with 16 year olds.

Awesome comment:

"I always throw down an Aladdin carpet when I visit my underage girlfriend too...."

Playing a single table SnG as I write this, listening to Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works Volume II.

Helps keep me calm and focused.

Wonder what happened with Alexi Murdoch. He doesn't appear to have released anything in over 6 years

The possibility of a mash up between these two:

might as well...........

Earwig of the day: "Sweets for My Sweet", by the Drifters. Man, they just don't write 'em like that any more.

Think I'll make it a Drifters day -- with just their great "S" songs: Stand By Me, Sweets for My Sweet, Save the Last Dance for Me, and Some Kind of Wonderful.

A year or so ago I really got in to metal/punk/post-hardcore covers. This dude is awesome and has a ton of stuff out :)

For some reason, I've been on this kick lately where I'll stream 80's hardcore on Spotify, with the caveat that I have to own the original vinyl of whatever I'm listening to.

This was/is of my favs from when I was a young, straight edge, skateboarder growing up in SoCal.:D

I'm sure most here will HATE this stuff

edit:wont allow me to imbed the proper second vid

Found myself reminiscing about the good ol' Corduroy days earlier.

Seen 'em multiple times: Derby, London, Rayleigh, London, Winchester, Southampton...

Great live act, loadsa fun. Part of the Acid Jazz boom.

The Southampton gig was odd. At the uni and it was at a point where they' d gained a BNP following purely on the basis of London, England. We got moaned by skinheads at that gig, which is outta sorts with their vibe... Go figure!

We don't all hate it...;)

Was big into Hardcore/Punk back in the day. Cali had some of the greatest bands. Some of my fav's...Dead Kenndy's, Youth Brigade, Chain of Strength, Inside Out...could go on and on. Was fortunate to play with Terror & Carry On. Good times & great memories!

A little before my time, but a classic...

Sweet! Chain of Strength and Inside Out were other favs of mine from around that time period. They’ve both been on my gym playlist for the last few weeks, plus No For An Answer, some GB, etc. I actually had a chance to see Rage Against The Machine’s first show but ended up skipping it because I decided to be responsible and not call out sick from my job flipping pizzas. I had no idea who they were at the time, no one really did yet. A friend of mine videotaped the show and they played all the songs off of the first album. It was great. I wish that video was still around, it was lost a long time ago.

Definitely lots of good memories :D
