What are you listening to? (18 Viewers)

RIP Prince and Tom. Have to say it...Prince's solo here is MUCH better than Clapton's original.

The other day I was on the light rail and this dude turns this up. It's pretty standard to be quiet(not play music out loud) on public transit and not annoy people but the more I listened I was pleasantly surprised by this sound. I started jiving with my girlfriend, we danced a bit. I asked the guy what song is this is, to which he responded "this a throwback youngster... Marvin Gaye Eric sermon". Another young dude was jiving to it then we had to and we had to look it up. a moment where music brought us together. Pretty cool experience.

The last two nights, Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group at the Capitol Theater in Clearwater. Their first performance of 2020, and their first show with this group of incredible musicians --

Jeff White on guitar/mandolin/harmony/
Luke Bulla on fiddle / harmony;
Josh Swift on dobro (the best I've ever seen); and
Mark ??? on upright bass.

Even their bus driver, Bill ?, came out and played terrifically, including solos, on keyboards for several songs.

Lovett's self-deprecating humor is tremendously entertaining. My wife even assigned me a new Lovett theme song, "Pants Is Overrated".

Great show! (And I'm not a bluegrass or CW fan at all...)

I'm from the twin cities and just listened to Prince for the first time today in my class at the University titled "Prince, Porn, and Public spaces"

Man, those guys are like Disturbed, but without the talent part...

They parted ways with their lead singer. He moved to "Light the Torch" which is a decent band. This is what I listen to when I want some light listening music.

Been jamming to a lot of Leo Moracchioli lately.

Yeah, it's been one of those weeks...
