LOL. wow I forgot this one.... put the racism aside, this country has gotten soft as puppy shit.
Yep, Mick Taylor was great with the Stones. A kid when he joined them. Prior to that he had a short stint playing with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers. A great album he cut with them was Blues Crusade. He was probably only about 18-20 yrs old!
Awesome live version of this amazing song. EJ was my #1 artist back in the 70s. And Madman was probably my favorite early album. I would spin his albums for hours just chilling in my room as a kid.
Yep, early Elton is fantastic. This is the best live performance I've ever seen of this particular song with a nice bit of improvisationAwesome live version of this amazing song. Correction to that #1 comment. Of all his albums from the 70s, Captain Fantastic is actually my favorite. Madman would be #2, then the iconic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road at #3. Next would be one that may be lesser known to a lot of people, and that would be Blue Moves from 1976. In my opinion, that was his last truly great album. I still like a lot of stuff that came after, but to me Blue Moves was somewhat of an end of his era for me. It was also around that time that my music tastes started evolving and expanding, and I started listening to more rock and blues, and less pop.Yep, early Elton is fantastic. Love this band...and that is one of their best.
