What do you do?? (3 Viewers)

I work in Decision Support for a large academic medical center. Basically I am responsible for all revenue, expenses, and volume for half of the hospital.

I already told you! I deal with the goddamn customers so the engineers don't have to! I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

Lol! This is actually exactly what I do!

Union Electrical foreman, mostly high rise apartments in DC. But some jobs are more fun... finished a Theater in VA.

But I guess to date the coolest job was a Mega Watt Solar install on a pharmaceutical company called United therapeutics. The company I work for hired me to do this job because it was considered next to impossible

I was definitely a challenge and a 7 million dollar project.

That entire roof is also covered in solar, a full car port system on top of the garage and a solar wall (it's small and mostly for show there by the red wall in the front of that picture)

Its is the second most advanced building in the US. We had several companies in Dubai come to check it out and even paid us on installation/application of the solar system. Really fun project, other thaninstalling solar in a hanging basket in 100 plus degrees and then again in less than 20 degree situations as it took over a year to complete!

Most of the time... we make spaghetti! Lol

Right now I’m in medical school full time, but for the last 10 years (since midway through high school) I owned and operated a mobile DJ company back in Utah. I also do some freelance writing for a couple of companies and run a YouTube channel doing tech reviews. I’ve got the entrepreneurial gene so I always have my hands in a few things at once.

I am a Staff Sergeant (E5) in the United States Air Force and I've been in for about 7.5 years and my job is Air Transportation Specialist. The unit I'm in now specializes in contingency response. We're a highly mobile and self sufficient unit that has the capability to deploy within 12hrs notice.

Our main mission set is to open airfields and provide cargo and passenger support. For example we were the first ones into the Florida Keys after Hurricane Irma and Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

My job has taken me all over the country and all over the world to places like South Korea, Israel, Ukraine, Spain, Romania, Germany, Thailand, and most recently Australia. I get paid to go on all expense paid trips. I have the best job in the world.

Since posting my original response I've gotten promoted to E6 and moved to Turkey where run the passenger terminal on the base. Everyone that flies in/out the base process through us. I've worked at other terminals before and I'm not crazy about it. Passengers lose at least half their IQ whenever flying and think because we're a military airport that we somehow operate differently than a commercial one.

I’ve been working on the cable crew for the last 3 years (4 man Teams, 2 trucks per shift). We manage the cable ( 7200 volts) that runs from unit sub stations to either the electric drills or shovels.

You wouldn’t think stuff that big moves a lot, but it seems like it’s always in perpetual motion. Those shovels move a lot of dirt!

I’m hoping to move departments soon and either go to drill or roads crew. Roads runs 16 and 24ft graders, D10 and D11 dozers, track hoes and loaders.
