What have we here? (176 Viewers)

Let me start out by saying that I would love nothing more than for you to be right. In all sincerity.

I just can’t wrap my mind around there being $50 million in $100ks and over $140 million in $25ks.

That math just doesn’t pass my reasonableness test. But again, I really hope I am wrong  :ROFLMAO:
I've read reports of Asian gamblers playing Baccarat for $600,000 per hand on Baccarat. How many chips would you need for that?

I think that type of play is mostly limited to Vegas and Macau, seems weird to me that even a Harrah’s in Louisiana would be all that concerned about keeping a bank of $200+ milly

It wouldn’t surprise me if Cherokee has 10,000 $1k chips. I just don’t know enough about the serial numbers to know whether you can always count on them being a solid indicator.

Well we all order sets because we have a dream and plan for something great. If someone in management thought they might one day host some crazy high stakes events or maybe there are private games with crazy stakes maybe a bank of 200m was not so crazy.

But minimum quantity and premiums can also just make it worth it to buy more chips and hope that one day you will use them.

I gotta say, I do love the thought that casino GMs are as crazy as us when it comes to chips haha.

I think having 100s of millions worth of chips in your casino vault is reasonable. You only break out the chips you need to have in play. Then if you host a mult-table Windwalker level of play, the casino would be able to accommodate at a moments notice.

It's also why they have serial numbers and a secondary set. You know you only put chips A through B into play, if any other serials come in, then you know you have issues and can switch sets if needed.

At least this is how I think things are run. I am just a pleb and never worked at a casino.

Son, do the work without mistakes...
but first, read the conditions of the problem...

You're implying a huge assumption, which is that those serial numbers start at 0001 and 001 respectively. How do you know they didn't start at 5501 and 501?

I get your point, but my point is that we have no idea where they started. Just because something has serial no. 5609 on it, doesn't mean there are at least 5609 of those things.
I don’t have any information about this particular set of chips, but @Gear is correct … those number are somewhat meaningless. You can ask GPI to print anything you want on the labels.
