STOP playing video games NOW before you go on a murder spree!!!!!
That doesn't sound free to me .........Looking to give Diablo Immortal a spin…
Free but with lots of micro transactions, I’ve heard….
It will be the interesting to see if there’s a pay wall, or you can actually have some type of experience without paying. That doesn't sound free to me .........
I have a few friends playing it and they got bombarded with like 10 ads to purchase MTX in like 3 minsJust a couple hours in so far. I'm digging it.
I’ve been playing on PC…no ads yetI have a few friends playing it and they got bombarded with like 10 ads to purchase MTX in like 3 mins
I played it for a bit. I'd rather just play Diablo 2, 3, or Torchlight 2 w/mods.Just saw it hit the news, Blizzard is taking massive scorn, because it seems to max a character in Diablo Immortal, it will cost $110,000.
So far, I’m loving it (on PC). I’ve heard that once you hit around level 35-40, there’s a wall where it is virtually impossible to move forward without a massive grind or pay to upgrade.
I knew the game wasn’t really “free”, but would rather pay $60 and get the whole damn thing.
I heard you can get pretty far without paying, but at top levels when you start min/maxing you have to pay. Top level gems are behind pay walls for example. Think I'll just stick to D2R since the recent update has opened up a lot more viable builds.Just saw it hit the news, Blizzard is taking massive scorn, because it seems to max a character in Diablo Immortal, it will cost $110,000.

I can't get myself to pay for D2R. I played easily 500-600 hours of it in college. I just know it would be cool nostalgia but I'd feel bad having paid for it.I heard you can get pretty far without paying, but at top levels when you start min/maxing you have to pay. I get that. I played a crap ton of D2 and still play it off an on sometimes, so upgrading to D2R was worth it to me. Not a fan of D3 really, and even when D4 comes out I'll probably still find myself starting up D2R every once in a while.I can't get myself to pay for D2R. Anyone else waiting for Half Life 3? lol
Ah that's too bad. Did you like the original one? Garry's mod was a pretty fun way to play around with the engine too, but got a bit tiresome after too many hours. You know, I remember wanting to really love Half Life 2, but I absolutely hated it. The entire game felt like it was just one big tech demo for their gaming engine. And the ridiculous physics based puzzles to progress through levels grew stale very quickly for me.

I've almost finished Astro, which was much better than any tech demo packaged game had any right to be. Other than that I've been playing basically nothing but Returnal. I decided to go premium, so I could get that and Demon's Souls without having to buy them. My PS5 was also the bundle with Forbidden West. So I have no shortage of things to start playing and never finish.welcome to the club! what game do you plan to play first?

From what I hear Deathloop isn't much of a rougelike. Just a story shooter with a groundhog day mechanic.Yeah Astro was insanely good demo of what the conteoller can do. Demon's Souls was my first "real" PS5 game (actually why I tried for one at launch) and it was awesome. Now it's sadly more my kid's Fortnite and FIFA machine than anything. I really need to find something to play on it. Even Elden Ring I went for PC. Really, really hoping for a PS5 exclusive Bloodborne 2.
What are your thoughts on Returnal? I typically can't get into roguelikes, so I have passed on that and Deathloop so far.

Let me know what you think of a Returnal after you get it. I finally just got through the first Biome and the game really felt fresh.fair point. goes to show my inexperience with the genre.
i actually just snagged a cheap copy of returnal off eBay, so we'll see how it goes!
For anyone out there that likes rougelikes and deck building games, I HIGHLY recommend Circadian Dice on PC. Very good design, very clean, very fun.
