What's Everyone's Favorite Game Alternatives to NHLE and PLO? (1 Viewer)

Archie. Definitely Archie.

Also a big fan of the drawmaha games.

7-card Inverse SOSHE Double-Board is also pretty spectacular.

Best low Omaha hand and best low Super Hold'em hand split the pot, playing either board.

Is there a split pre? Or you're playing a 7 card mitt?

I normally deal PLO8 or Scarney at our dealers choice circus games - but the version of Scarney we play is normally 5 card with a single Turn not 2 as in abby99s cards. We can also play that 8 handed if no river burn. Introduced Scarney a few months ago and people love it - so thanks PCF :)

I also like throwing in reveals and/or steals into other games. Reveals - at some declared point(s) in a hand (of whatever game) the player to your left exposes one (or more) of your cards. Reveal & Steal - same but you get to keep the card you exposed from your neighbour.

Going to introduce Scotum next time I think as that sounds interesting.

Fwiw, we play SHE using 0, 1, 2, or all 3 hole cards. Some rules don't allow 3.
Those rules are dead wrong. it ain’t hold ‘em rules if you cant use any combination of hole cards and board cards.

Speaking of fun SHE games:

Sussudio (Super Hold ‘em, Super Hold ‘em Hi-Hi)

Deal 6 to each player, they are split into two 3 card SHE hands pre-flop. Regular board and betting. Two hands are played as hi-hi, best SHE hand plays for first half of the pot and the second best hand plays for the second half of the pot.

Isn’t that just SHESHE?

Pot-limit Scrotum Hi/Lo
Do you discard pre- or post-flop?

My regular group discard pre-flop by default (unless we call Crazy Scrotum) but I know others default is post-flop.

Been calling the game I made up, Shared Custody 8, more recently.

You should call this Not Scarney, one of the primary staples in this game is the 2 turn board and discards, there are several variations of this game but none of the variants reduce the 12 card board

It’d be SSHESHE, but the difference is what I call “Consolation” showdowns. So instead of everyone’s “left” SHE hand competing for half the pot, and everyone’s “right” SHE hand for the other, it’s the best hand of the two (with the board) competing with everyone else’s best hand for half the pot, then each 2nd best hand competes for the other half.

Anyone heard of 'upBob'?

Not trolling here
PCFer'01: 'What's up Bob?'
Machine: 'Not much, what's up with you?'

Similar to Chicago, but you'd call something like Dra2maha with an 'upBob', the suit determines suit, and the card value determines rank, and 'up' or 'down' determines the ranking direction.

:ax::ax::ax::ax::4c:

So the :5c: would get 1/2, if no one has the :5c:then :6c: is the next ranking that would get 1/2 the pot in UPbob - and the :3c: would get 1/2 in the DOWNbob, followed by the :2c:, then :ac:, then :kc: if none had the :3c:

I know you said no plo, but Devils deuces wild 5 card plo. Deuces are wild, you can create a 5 card hand using any number of cards from the board and any number from your hand. However, at showdown a deuce cannot play as another card in play (ie if the kc is showndown by someone else in their 4 card hand, your 2 cannot play as the kc.) Hand rankings are 5 of a kind, pure straight flush, joker straight flush, and then the rest.

Absolutely wild game because unlike in joker poker, 22 is not invincible; it can only play as the nuts if no one else has the nuts in a lot of spots.
