Gotta blame Boras for that. He's trying to get the most out of a non existent market for him. I think Stearns upping the AAV to $25M will get it done.

It really seams like he wants to stay with the Mets AND get the largest contract possible, which is not gonna happen. In the end I hope he listens to his wallet and not his heart. Go Jays!

They might just be... The twitter chatter from the "insiders" has cooled down but there is still an outside shot. I mean if there wasn't a chance, I feel he would have signed with the Mets already. And the Jays FO is a bit desperate.

I feel the most likely scenario is Boras was using the Jays to try to get the Mets to up their offer BUT Alonso still signs with the Mets.

But as a Jays fan I'd like to see Vlad / Santander/ Alonso hit back to back to back.
