Win a Suicide Queen dealer button - NFL pick'em contest (2 Viewers)

Thanks for doing this boss. I think I will do something like this for a sample set of my sunset chips.

Good idea.

48 days to go btw.

Built a spreadsheet - because I always do. Just giving a (y) to Chippy for not acknowledging Washington's racist team name. :)

I was hoping someone would do that so I didn't have to. Feel free to post it and keep it updated.

Extra notes of interest:
  • Unanimous picks - New England Patriots over Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks over Cleveland Browns.
  • Long Bombs - Only one player picked Dallas over New York (Puggy) and Chicago over Minnesota (ManAmongKids). 72o and Anthony Martino share the upset mindset, picking Baltimore over Kansas City.Kirchausen and joker80 also stand together thinking San Diego will upset Miami in the Sunshine battle (or at least they think SD will lose a little less). On Monday night, only Brains and Zombie (Mmmm zombies and braiiiiiiins) think Detroit can pull off the upset, so there is a good chance this will be effectively wrapped up on Sunday night.
  • Over/Under - Lowest Tiebreaker score 41 (Detroit Dad). Highest 75 Bivey.
  • 2 people picked the same tiebreaking score. Chiptalker/Poker Zombie (49) and Kirchausen/Atomiktoaster (55).
  • Going with the flow - Detroit Dad, Bentax, TriHonda, Inca911, and Bivey sided with the majority with all but one of their picks.
  • Rebels - ManAmong and Puggy picked the underdogs in 6 contests.

Correct. 6/18 picked the Giants. If this game were next week, I would agree with the Giants as well, but Cam will still be out there if full force this week. His ego is big enough to think he's going to go undefeated, so as long as the coaches keep him on the field, he's going to give his 110%.

I'm conflicted about the game. Life long Giants fan (which is why I picked them, not because I think they are more likely to win).

However, I have Cam starting on my FF team and it's the FF playoffs with money on the line.

I guess I'm just hoping for a super high scoring shootout (I also have OBJ) where the Giants edge them in the end.

Also a Giants fan (wear a NY jersey nearly every Sunday during the season), but conflicted because I dislike Eli and Coughlin. I also dislike Newtons (both the player and the guy that invented gravity, not the fig cookie). But I have to go with my brain over my heart here.

As do we. Picture is from last year as my older son has since "upgraded" to an OBJ jersey. My younger son is going to be stuck in Eli manning jerseys for the foreseeable future as he'll have to work his way through the pile of hand-me-downs for a while.

Looks like I'm 7-2 going into the late games unless Eli Manning can pull off the upset.

Edit - Or Matty Ice does something stupid...

ATL in victory formation. Might end up 8-1... Come on G-Men!

Note - I grew up in DC a Redskins fan. I feel much shame cheering for the Giants to win a trinket.

Second Note - Not to disparage the trinket. We WANTS it!

I'm not watching on TV, just following online. Did the Giants just allow the Panthers to walk down the field? Did they offer any resistance at all?

Two way tie for first after the early games with 8/9 between Chippy and Inca. Five players with 7/9.

I'm drawing dead to Inca (Same picks.)

Edit - Good, actually. Every time I get sucked into the NFL, I get reminded of why I don't watch anymore. These games are interminable!

Still a two way tie for first between Chippy and Inca with 12/14. Three players close behind with 11/14.

By my calculations...

Going into Monday, it comes down to Brains vs Inca. Inca takes it down with a New Orleans win, but if Detroit pulls off the upset Brains takes it to the tiebreaker. Brains picked 73 total points scored for the Monday night game, while Inca has 47.

In order for Brains to win it all, Detroit needs to win, and the total score must be 60 or more points (at exactly 60, the both tie breaking scores are equidistant, so k9dr will have to figure that little bump out).

Still in it, baby!

In the unlikely event that Detroit wins and the tiebreaker is exactly 60 points, I will give each winner a button.

Pretty cool. Can I piggyback and put up a DB for next week's picks?

edit - Not contingent on winning this one.
