Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (101 Viewers)

He’s referring to the sun set Beach paulsons. The set were a NAGB run by @Lemonzest as a solo operation and I believe most of chips were sold. As @Perthmike said some great individual chips but not the most cohesive together.

Yeah, I relabeled the Mexican Rose SB $500 as my $100,000 Jack chip.

That's a trainwreck of a set that doesn't flow in the slightest and was designed to be pieced out. Some great chips in there though.

It was designed to be a cohesive set and thats how I use it. In retrospect there is too much blue. 25c uses Hawaii Flower, $1 uses Day Blue and $5 uses Aqua. I thought those blue shades were sufficiently different but at a glance they all just kinda look like Day Blue. Thats my only regret on the cash set. I stand by the spot patterns, I like them.

That’s Hawaii flower on the quarter? Never would’ve guessed that

Looks nice, but you need a rack of these, right @MatB

I genuinely thought that was how you designed it, becuase it's so heavy on the blue.

Lots of individually hot chips, and I would use all but the $1 for any number of relabel set candidates, and i get why you did that frac (because it's WSOP and it is awesome) but it's the part that loses all flow for me.

Is the TRK mixed set meant for cash, or an unconventional tourney progression? There are so many 500s, just not clear how the 1s and 5s fit in. Or maybe the 500s all had to be bought together, but in practice only a handful will get into play for a lower stakes cash game.

Just curious. Maybe it’s more of a collection than a cohesive set intended to be used in concert.

No, it’s just incomplete, @Taghkanic. I have 3 more racks of 100s coming, and 4 more racks of 25s. And 2 racks of 1000s. It’s meant to be a cash set, really. I just got excited by the initial deliveries and wanted to see what they looked like together.

I think I could split them up for use as a small 1/2 cash game set, or a bigger 5/10 as well. And then once all the chips get in, maybe a T25-base multi-table tourney set, still need to work it out.

I think the issue is it’s so hard to find these, I take what I can get. I’ll be adding some Mapes to these shortly, and I think will really make the set sing!

What i don't see in this thread is a "house mold' chip set yet.

Lets go !

What would really be epic is a giant set of live house mold Vegas chips with denoms going up to $1k! :wow:

I was informed today that I was offending people by posting pictures both here on my Pr0n thread as well as the Mail Pr0n thread, so my sincere apologies — didn’t realize that was a no-no. Will exclusively post here, so that if you’re interested in following my chipping journey, you’re welcome to! Sorry about that!

This cannot possibly be true is it? If someone actually said that without sarcasm it's pathetic. As long as you received the chips in the mail, that is the intended use of that thread.

The 500 is my single most favorite chip in the world.

Agreed -- it is beautiful. But I think the design, the color zoning of that chip series -- specifically, having "Reno & Crystal Bay" printed in two colors -- would drive me nuts if I played with them.

Better to just see them in someone else's pictures! :cool
