I vote wolf, but I'd keep looking at images and try to find something with just the head. I'm sure you've heard this, but whatever you come up with, print it off actual size, then hold it at arms length. I feel like this image is just going to look like a dog with the image just being a small part of a tiny 7/8ths or 1 inch inlay.
