Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (19 Viewers)

He followed up with me 3 times after I said no to make sure I didn't want it. One message "I don't want you to regret it down the road, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity".
Where are people getting these sales pitches from? early 90s infomercials? Don't they know you are supposed to include a set of steak knives to seal a deal?

Playing devils advocate, maybe that person just provided an I don't want to sell price.

And then looked out for a buddy and gave them a good price. Sounds very decent of them to sell at a friend price, for something that I assume has gone up in value (everything has lol)
I believe the person he is referring to is @Rbonus012 and there is a whole story behind it. I believe the original posts were taken down from the classifieds though. I’m not going to say whether or not I think @Windwalker was fleeced, but based on what I read he certainly wasn’t happy with the situation.

Actually, I'm not. That was a different issue where he CLAIMED to someone else that I offered 2.5 times more than I actually did in order to complete a sale.

I wanted to see what they looked like. Don’t like them. About to list them for catch and release.

Can I ask what it is you don’t like about them?

THC’s designed by chippers, for chippers. One of my favourite modern day sets, especially the $5!

I’ll admit the inlay design isn’t the greatest, but I do like the simplicity, which allows the colours and edge spots to be the “star” of the show! ;)

You know, Windwalker offered me $1000 dollars for this rack of GPI Elites, so $999.99 is a steal!

I’ve done this more than once. I publicly list a set for something, say $900 because I don’t want people interested just cause of price or flipping.

When someone actually reaches out, I’ll let them know I scored a deal on it, and would be happy to let it go to them at that same reduced price of $500 or whatever.

Skips over the uncomfortable experience of not wanting to make money on the community but also not wanting to sell to certain folks at the low prices.

Sorry, this is ridiculous.
You can state in a public sale thread that it's not a dibs sale and that you 're going to sell to whomever you like, at the given low price, exactly because it's low or because you trust only specific people.
Or you can reach the people you like via PM and propose them chips for sale.
Lying about prices doesn't do any good.

It's not lying when you call it a "Enhanced bonus premium" price.

Diff strokes for diff folks. I’ve gotten shit no matter what way I do it (as have most), this is what works for me.

And there is no lying, I’m about as apparent on pricing as anyone. I provide what I paid on every purchase I remember/can find, and list links.

Like below, I know this would get snap bought by folks just to nab it at original eBay price. So I’m very honest about pricing, but yeah I’m giving it to a good dude at well under the list price.
“Skittles” Palms Roulettes.

.52 a chip shipped ($520 total). After reshipping twice, I’d be profiting $75 from original eBay purchase.

If more than one person wants, buyer will be randomly chosen.

It's a real shame that anyone would be out to make a buck off a niche hobby. I don't have anything wrong with vendors doing work being covered their time and turning a profit, but the arbitrage is really unpleasant.

If anyone wants to sell some Aurora Star Tournament for what they should be priced at let me know, otherwise, gotta say no.

Personal preference, I think. But here's the gist (personal opinion):

1. The Horizon Blue 3hc with the Light Pink, Sky Blue and Mustard edgespots for the $1 -- just can't get behind it; I think the combination is muted and ugly, especially when combined with the dark inlay.
2. The 4ta316 Cherry $5 with Blaze Orange and Off White is the best chip of the lineup by far.
3. The $20 is nice, but I've decided I don't like sets that mix THC and IHC together, especially when there will be so much use of them together.

That sums it up really well.

I'd say a similar affinity for the 100 as the 5, but they are similar in spots and how their colors interact. Hundred is hurt a bit by the inlay.

And not a fan of mixing sizes of chips.
