I know it's not, but the edges of the inlay just look a bit like a label replacement. Almost like it's sitting just below the recess.

I had them for 8 hours. @JeepologyOffroad would have a better idea, he’s been with them for a bit.

Metallic gold and texture I think gives that illusion. Plus a lot of them have this little bit of orangish red around the inlay area that does not come off entirely. Accentuates the inlay to stand out a little more I think

Edit: but they are definitely an inlay. They do have that illusion though if you are studying them really closely

I was thinking it might be the metallic look of the inlay, or maybe just the dirt. Lets see some zoomed in shots lol

Ah yeah, it's just that the outer edge of the inlay looks slightly darker. The zoomed out photo threw me. I thought it looked like a tiny gap between inlay and clay, like with a label replacement.
