Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (19 Viewers)

One final learning for tonight. Palettes are so pivotal in creating a sense of refinement. While loud, bright colors are generally amazing, there is also some joy in subtlety and restraint.
I agree, that is why I like Santa Ysabels. The irony - what first attracted me to them was the $2-on-fire, but the subtlety and calmness of the rest of the chips does appeal to me as well. Same with SUN-FLY's Asconas which I don't feel get the love they deserve.

The more you make the more I realize i may never find my favorite. I think I’m going to need you to make pages and pages of samples for us. I wish I knew how to help.

Funny how tastes change. I was all about bubblegum chips, but have come to appreciate the softer chips.

@navels and I got to chatting about his Lakeshore set earlier today, and the absurd lack of a hundo that made sense for the set. He asked me what I would design for one, and so, I started playing around with different options. Then, I realized there weren’t any single chip shots / photos that did the entire lineup any justice, so I used a chunk of today to digitally recreate the lineup from scratch, along with a fantasy hundo. Very pleased with the result.

I got up to that part and instantly thought of @JeepologyOffroad 's meme and was like thats going to need updating.... but then I kept reading and realised you hadn't acquired a set yet......

Awesome job on the hundo. You seem to be knocking that denom out of the park with all you fantasy mockups. It does feel like it has been inspired by the BTP $100

...and now I am going to be obsessed with the Lakeshores for a while, again  :ROFLMAO:

love that hundo btw - it’s amazing how you manage to make these chips look real! Reminds me a little bit of this one...

My chips tastes are probably more Bruce Wayne than Batman :-) Fantastic idea tho, good fodder for the Photoshop tool I'm developing.
