Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (13 Viewers)

You're only getting attention because of the awesome sets you're able to put together. I think it's kind of funny as a community how focused we are on the money. I easily bought and sold over 30,000 chips my first year, constantly moving chips in and out (I had never had a single poker chip and was having fun). No one batted an eye, because they were cheaper chips.

Folks like Changster got a little flak because they spent a bit, you seem to get more because you spent a bit more. Stinks too, as it's seemed too sharpen the edges.
Sounds a lot like an unhappy 9 year old's letter home from summer camp

Im literally saying it's rediculous people finna say stuff bout his journey, and that their umbrage is simply with the financials of it, not his "chipping wellbeing".

I'm personally excited for some of it, such as the incoming rack of Kings (I've never seen one so far).

Great addition to the conversation though, thanks!

Back to chipping, @Windwalker will you be surprising the meetups you attend, or are you allowing requests/voting? You now have more than one set that would be rare experiences to ever see or play with, I know my votes!

@pltrgyst's question about what I would want my custom set to look like got me really thinking, and I spent hours looking at color samples from CPC, Paulson, and thinking about themes. I have a weekend place up the coast in Malibu, and thought that it might be a fun idea to make a "Beach Bum" themed set inspired by the surf, sand and waves of that area.

Key learnings --

a) colors on the chip tool designer do not match actual samples;
b) Paulson clay colors are a lot more vibrant.

All that said -- I had fun putting together this set.

You 're on a good path.
-Darker "Red" spots on the $1 would provide nicer contrast, without merging with the frac.

-On the $5, NOT chocolate again please, even if you 're in love with it. It's going to be used (inevitably as it seems) on the $500 and they 're supposed to play together in a $5/$10 game. Try Imperial Blue and Orange spots on the DG Light Yellow.

-Try "Pink" (not DG Pink) on the $1,000

It seems nobody could shift you further than that :D

About the molds: Very much theme-dependent, but the best-sounding ones are those with two concentric circles on their perimeter.

Great point on the chocolate!

On the mold, I've had multiple people tell me that the B mold sounds the best, so I tried starting from there -- I have some coming to me so I can see for myself.

Sorry man, but with the kind of many you have invested and are willing to invest in poker chips, make sure to get a 20-chip barrel from each of the CPC molds and listen to their music and judge for yourself.
"I 've had multiple people tell me" is unacceptable for the kind of money you 're putting into this. :)
My 2c:D

Pink is one of my least favorite CPC colors, DG pink is soooooo much better

Definitely acquiring shuffling stacks is the way too go. Feel and sound are the two most important things to me.

Although I enjoyed the original modern inlay, this update has great theme for a custom set. I’m really digging the the new 5k color/pattern.

If anything Krish, and you don't have to tell me or anyone else here, I'm curious as to where you're unearthing all of these awesome chips?!?!? Your collections that you've amassed in a matter of weeks takes a lot of folks a lifetime to build. Maybe over a beer or scotch at an East coast meet up one day...
