Windwalker on Hustler Casino Live?!?!?!?!?!? (4 Viewers)

@Windwalker, it's really hard to represent strength with a preflop backraise esp in such a splashy game. Maybe you were just calling "fuck it!" at that point, figuring you were likely up against overcards and overpairs and had live draw outs (though something like 65s would be significantly better for this purpose).

I remember seeing this line from you in other big hands (speculative loose call + backraise/shove) and you got looked up every time.

When you call, you're capping your range, hoping for a cascade of calls and a relatively cheap flop. Once it gets raised, I'd give more consideration to folding.

Also, I was surprised to see you had so much equity preflop according to the Hustler infographic (25%). So I ran that situation in PokerCruncher and you had significantly less equity (19%). So it seems that the software Hustler is using is taking dead cards into account.

It definitely is. On various occasions the commentators have pointed out that the infographic is showing %equity that doesn't match what you might normally expect and have said that it's accounting for dead cards that the audience (and the software) can see.

Makes sense, and makes sense that I missed that. I "watch" these streams after they're done and basically have my finger on the "L" key (fast forward 10 sec) the majority of the video.

Krish did say he wanted to gamble before he shoved it all in, and he probably truly meant that (no metagames, mind tricks etc).

Ain’t nobody folding when it was like a 45bb effective stack (there was a straddle and a double straddle plus an ante). No AK QQ would fold. It doesn’t seem like Krish was trying to get folds because the stacks were so shallow.

I thought Dwan only reraised to something like 68k, not 89k?

So garret had to call 43k for a pot with 109k in it

Didn’t watch the hand when posting to see exact numbers so you might be right about the size but how much garret is calling doesn’t impact his optimal continue frequency - you need to know dwans bet/raise relative to the pot.

If it’s 68k into 43k optimal defence is around 40% instead of 33% which makes it closer of a decision with AQ (but I think still a fold, or if not a mix between calls and folds). AQ has so many combos it could fall into both the 40th and the 60th percentiles.

Which would mean that fun, creative-action and totally not gto robot players dwan and garret were even closer to taking solver approved lines/sizing.
