Worst Poker Chips EVER? (1 Viewer)

A huge set of personalized labeled chips (So no one can sneak chips into your game and cash the out for money) with pictures of parrots one side, "Parrot Poker" on the other side.

that camo table/chips combo looks like ass, but i do remember the below ceramic chips from Big Blue that looked kind of cool with a camo edge. can't recall for sure whether they were ever made.

Yeah, camo table way too busy for me, but the Angry Mallard camo version chips were the nutz. Do you remember who was considering making those?

I still think those have commercial value, as hybrid ceramics with webbed-foot mold and laminated label. Group buy, anyone?

Dude I would be all over these camo chips if they were ever made...so yeah I'm in for a group buy! As far as the camo table goes, I kinda like it as long as you play with non-spotted hunter orange chips.

It was bsw179 on CT. He hasn't posted in a while it seems. There's TONS of mockup art, but I can't find any actual chips despite a vague memory of seeing some teaser shots. Definitely no full pr0n though :(

Camo table doesn't look too bad. Chips from OP are brutal. It's the worst when you can't tell what's what.

The mockups of these chips were awesome. Hope the final product lived up to it

I still want those camo chips! If they were never made and no one can get in touch with the mock-up owner, can someone else pick up the ball and see if there is a ceramic manufacturer capable of producing these?

I'd be willing to revisit this (attempt contact with originator, pursue rights and potential production, etc.) after the first of the year (too much going on right now). Can you PM/remind me mid-to-late January?

I once went to a game where it did not matter what color the chip was, it counted as 1 chip. Blinds were 1/2 and you got 50 chips. At some break points, all chips were reduced 5/1 and then again 5/1 so as to not have the final table be filled with 1000 chips (20 person tourney). This is the only way those OP chips could be used, as "a chip is a chip".

I do not begrudge someone who cannot afford paulsons or bud jones or even chipcos. These things are not cheap. Forget custom sets, even more expensive. You first have to love the chip, then the game, then hosting the game, and then and ONLY then, invest in a chip set worthy of that game. If your game is low stakes and the people are slobs and steal/drop/drool on your chips, perhaps something dishwasher safe. If they are captains of industry who jet in for your game (looking at you Mr. Tree) then a quality custom or expensive casino set is in order.

I will suggest, if you want to get a good set, write a post with your budget and size requirements, and 20 experts here will tell you the best chip you can get, the breakdown you will need, and probably other tips and tricks to help you.

I was hoping this thread would show casino/card room sets and say what was wrong with them, or how fugly they were.

So this has to be the worst chips I've ever come across and played with. The tournament chips had players repeatedly raising with dirty stacks as the blue and purple are very close IRL.

Finished fourth and after that went on to the cash game. Not sure how to describe these, but the chips have missing 'bits' from the edges and are just horrible to handle. It's like someone (or something) took nibbles out of them. Oh and they had lots of spinners and could hardly stack straight.

Severe deterioration of poorly-manufactured injection-molded abs chips, probably caused by UV exposure. Folks, don't let your kids play with cheap chips..... here are two reasons why.
