WSOP ME Last Longer Bet ***Spoilers*** (4 Viewers)

^ agreed, i'd rather everybody get assigned a decent-size stack, even at the risk of not making the final 26 players.

I'd much rather have stack #26 in a 78 player field, than stack #26 in a 26-player field.

Went over to my in-laws on Sunday... Retired couple... They were watching Wheel of Fortune.

I appreciate chop-busting, but this is like defending dice chips as official casino weight and therefore superior to Paulsons.

Problem with that is, 1.) there is no hard stop in the rules this year, and 2.) 5-19 people get shortstacks.

I’m pretty sure they stop and re-draw at 27 players. I don’t want to google & prove it though. It’s your contest, your call obviously. I just thought it would be much more fun having 8-9 members here sweating the final table.

No hard stop in days 5 or 6. First stop is Day 7 for 9 players.

They might, probably will, but if it's not in the rules, you can't count on it. I remember last year seeing a hard stop at 27 players.

They are currently at Level 25. Blinds are 25,000/50,000/5,000. There are 132 players left and the average stack is 2,982,576 or about 60 BB's. I'll see what the numbers look like at the end of the night, but I'm probably going to assign after Day 5.

Again, I'm shooting for a filed of about 75ish.

So at the end of Day 5, we're at Level 26, blinds are 30,000/60,000/10,000 and there are 109 players left. The average stack is 3,611,927 (60 bigs).

Today, they are scheduled to pay 5-6 levels which means they end on one of the two following levels:

Level 31: 100,000/200,000/30,000
Level 32: 120,000/240,000/40,000

With 393,700,000 chips in play, assuming the same 60 BB average stack, there should be 27 players left at the end of level 32.

So with the expectation that they will play down to 27 players at the end of today, and not wanting to short stack any of the 26 participants in this contest, I am going to assign stacks now, at the end of Day 5. The field is a little deeper than I would like, but it's better than the alternative. Also, 26th place has about 86 BB's which is a good stack.

So without further delay, here are your stacks:
  1. Michael Dyer, @Seeking Alpha Social Club, 12,180,000
  2. Brian Yoon, @BGinGA, 8,395,000
  3. Jeff Trudeau, @JFCJ, 8,305,000

Pollak’s my man. I thought he might have been the most talented at last years final table. He definitely used poor ole John Hesp (not that that’s too hard)

Just checked chip counts......

Sitting at number 77 is a guy from omaha that I have played 2/5 with for about the last 5 years. Ryan phan

Hes a really really good cash player and a great tourney player....... hope he wins it

Cliff Josephy finished in 124th and Joe Cada is hanging on in 57th... Both were high in the leaderboard when I was watching last night...

Thanks for the updates. This is the most I have followed the WSOP in awhile.

Carnage on Day 6 as 42% of the top 26 stacks did not make it out. The 15 remaining stacks will try to make the final table as they play down to 9 players tonight.

In retrospect, I didn't want to assign stacks at the end of Day 6 so no one got a short stack, and yet, @DoubleEagle gets the 26th (and shortest) stack left, while @MatB grinds his 23rd biggest stack all the way to the top of the leaderboard. I can think of 11 guys who would trade apots with @DoubleEagle.

The average stack is 15,142,307. Good luck to everyone on Day 7!

Here are they remaining stacks (the number in parentheses is the position at the start of Day 6):

1. Aram Zobian (23), @MatB, 41,585,000
2. Artem Metalidi (10), @David O, 30,845,000
4. Michael Dyer (1), @Seeking Alpha Social Club, 26,515,000
10. Eric Froehlich (24), @Marc Hedrick, 15,285,000
11. Paulo Goncalves (6), @Chippy McChiperson, 15,230,000
12. Tony Miles (19), @detroitdad, 14,945,000
