I don't think there's a good argument it was unfair... it was clearly stated in the rules in the OP.

You're welcome! Very similar thing happened to me. Jim at the chip room mixed up a shipment and I ended up with a randome $100 Empress slot token. Thought I should get some chip samples to go with it when I placed an eBay order from a seller who combined shipping. Super clean design and very nice shaped inlays. They're much nicer in person than in pictures. If the ones weren't impossible to find I might have a set, but I've resisted so far.

I re-read the thread, and now I understand completely.

Using real cards allows players (after seat 1) to take out the cards that have already been dealt. By everyone showing the face down cards that haven't been dealt a quick scroll through the pics would make a better show - you could paste each pic together in sequence and make a little movie of the hand being played out, but that would require everyone to try to align the cards the same was as the pic that seat 1 posts. The cards and tables (and chips! why not show chips too!) would constantly change through the movie, but that would look kind of cool.
