Fair question. When I was building my mixed casino set, I never considered the Scandias because they were a fantasy set, but I was thrilled to add a rack of Golden Eagles, which were made for a casino that never opened.
Is there a difference? Yes, I think so. But I'd have a hard time actually arguing about it.

Since It's my thread, yes, PCNY counts as it was never intended to be a fantasy set. ovo is probably correct about Dan's Dunes but I haven't seen the pRon. I will also say that since some members here can't seem to get any pics of their sets up (their VCRs are probably still blinking 12:00)...there are plenty that I don't know about. I'll fill in my other few sets once I get some time. Probably need to add Tommy's HS high denom set, didn't check his final numbers and starting stacks if the pics are already up.

Sitting down for a tourney with only the 43mm ritz $500/$1000/$5000 in play is a difficult thing. Tough to pay attention to the cards with these stacks around at which to gaze in awe.

I played those casino aztar at bergs and they were sweet sweet sweet. Though I donked them off with a boat 6's full of jacks vs jacks full of sixes

HQ's Mapes set is the tits. Would love to play on some more TRK sets, @gopherblue's RIversides stick out in my mind. And playing with (and one day owning) a Nevada Club set would be my ultimate.

I've been fortunate enough to have played with @H|Q mapes set and @bergs Dunes set already, Both were awesome. @gopherblue Riverside set would be awesome to play with, as would his mystery set I'm sure (if he will ever reveal what set it is).

Outside of 1 and 2, the order does not indicate preference.

I'm getting closer and closer to opening the kimono on that one. Someday soon. All I have to say about those chips: they are real and they are spectacular.

Nice list! I've played with Mapes and Dunes, and own five of your next seven choices. All are solid.

Only one I have trouble with is the PNYs -- love the $1s and $25s, but as a Jersey guy who worked in Manhattan, I think the rest of the inlays are very poorly chosen. The resulting frustration is that I never use two denoms from the same casino in a mixed set, so I can't really justify having both the $1s and $25s.
Almost everything I'd love to play with is custom -- like Duy's Palace.

Oddly enough, the only casino set I can think of that I'd really like to play with are the ACF Paulsons and the Vegas World set I own, just to play with those chips that have been handled by so many of the greats.

I guess some of the old WSOP sets fit that bill as well -- even though the events took place in casinos, for the purpose of this thread, do they count as casino sets, rather than event sets?

Would have to be someone else's PNY. Discovered pretty quickly that I didn't like gigantic inlays (except on Ritz...everything is better on a Ritz!). Sold PNY after putting them in play just once.

There's two racks of each type up here in da great white North, don't ya know! But if I had just one more rack of those delicious 5s, then my quest to bring the Vineyards to The Great Divide would be fulfilled, @slisk250 would get to play with the set, and we'd have peace on Earth, good will towards men. Do you perchance know someone who might have an extra rack of those beautiful 5s hiding on a storage shelf that I can pickup at the Melee in Feb?
