2022 CCA Convention/Show Wanted Help (1 Viewer)

What can you expect at the convention?

Set prices to be the same as PCF or maybe a bit less or more?

Or is it all singles for the most part?

They deal in poker chips for a living. I’d expect them to know the market price

But face to face dealing is always a better deal

Also I wouldn’t brag about being on PCF. Might raise the price

Thanks. Any of these please. Up to 3 @ $10ish

Now, consider that I haven't been to the convention since 2018 (missed 2019, 2020 was cancelled, missed 2021) but:

Set prices to be the same as PCF or maybe a bit less or more?

There will be very few "sets" to be had, if indeed any at all. 99 percent of what's for sale is singles.

I’d expect them to know the market price

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious. I have seen two of the same chip from the same seller in the SAME BINDER for different prices. And I'm not talking about $3 vs $5, I'm talking about $3 versus $17.

Some of the sellers have their heads on a little straighter, but many are (to my eyes) just completely 100% making shit up.

That's a bummer

What you look for are the “less inclined to do a lot of work” dealers who have old prices on their stuff from years ago. Same as coins and such in antique malls, you look for that stuff that was priced on the card five years ago and never updated cause of the amount of work involved.

Or rather the book price, which is often way off. But hey, it's the bible!

Only looking for a single chip, fat chance but...

Hey @Okku, if you see any Oceanside Club Card chips, looking for:
Fracs
$20s
$100s
Special event $100, $500, $1000, $5000 $10000 (no cancelled chips please)
Tournament 100, 500, 1000
If under $3/chip would take $2s $5s, but not needed. And zero $1s, have plenty.
Pics will be added later, courtesy of the chip guide.

Show was amazing! I tried my best to look for chips for everyone and hopefully those on here also tried looking as well. If I send you a PM I was able to find something for you, if not then I was unable to. There is a large portion of the stuff that people were looking for that I have never seen in person and I'm not sure if it's something that the dealers possibly have ever only had one and not another if they've sold it in the past. Plus, some of the dealers ask crazy amount of money for a single.

I am in need of all Harold's Club NCV chips and any singles that are not in this photo.

I need a snapper or $2 chip from Harrah’s, Bally’s, Flamingo, and Tropicana. Not even sure these exist but I’d be interested pending which edition and price.

Thanks for looking! Glad to hear you had a great time there.

There was a really nice couple that had a booth at the convention and specialized in Harold’s Club chips. I’m talking binders of them. He also pulled out a bunch of the pin-up calendars and he has some of the original oil paintings for the artwork, very cool stuff. Anyway, I’ll try to figure out what booth # it was, but maybe someone else can chime in.
